Nop, This is not a physical card, is the option to allow the DIGITAL DOWNLOAD of a game you own on cartridge to another console on your family group. the process is:

You buy a physical cartridge, you play it on your main console.
You enable <<virtual card>>
you eject the physical cartridge from your main console
you download the game on your secondary console and you are legally allowed to play it.
you CAN NOT play the game on two consoles at the same time.

It´s basically you can convert a cartridge on a digital copy for play on secondary consoles. so it´s easy to play and may be you don´t loose your physical copy when you travel.

Thankfully, from what I've heard on Reddit, not all games will be game-key cards. Whether that's a speculation or not, I can not say.

I don't feel bad for anyone who uses public dumps on their MIG Flash and gets banned. Even the MIG Flash Team warns you about that on their site but some people won't listen and then come crying that they got banned.

I'm not to traversed in flash carts for the switch. how is people banned on the OG switch today? I mean, if you stay offline it would be fine, but does it record something offline, and then you go online to for ex. update firmware you would get insta-banned?

PS. I mean if you never install any game on the console and you delete save-games and such? A bit of a hassle, yes, but just wondering what parts usually gets people banned.

Telemetry does get recorded and, unless Nintendo servers are blocked, it gets sent to them as soon as you connect to the Internet. If you make your sysNAND "dirty" staying offline in order to avoid ban is only delaying the inevitable. Only if you restore a clean NAND backup that you've created before connecting to the Internet (in order to avoid telemetry mismatch which can also lead to ban).

If you'd like to know about pros and cons of using MIG Switch, I've made a long post here that you can check out. In short, if you're only using full dumps of the games that you physically own, you'll most likely be good to go, no fear of getting banned (unless Nintendo figures out how to detect MIG Switch). Using publicly available full dumps is probably risky, while using incomplete and mixed dumps sure way to get banned (or flagged for ban, at the very least).

My MIG Switch and Dumper arrived today (ordered them a month or so ago from AliExpress) and, while everything works perfectly fine (updating, loading, switching, dumping and running games) my MIG Switch doesn't have the screw that holds its case in place. Instead it's probably being held by plastic tabs or something. Probably the newer batch with some cost saving thingy going on?

I didn't try to open them, will see if I can without breaking them when I get back home.

@TheStonedModder I tried to open it with the smallest plastic opening tool I had and, since I was afraid that I might break it if I force it a bit more, I decided to give up (for now, at least). I can take a few up-close images later, if you want.

Right now I'm trying to dump one of the games that I own, Ring Fit Adventure and I tried with both MIG Dumper and Migdumptool v0.0.2 and the resulting XCI file had some errors in NxFileViewer v3.0.2.
1) MIG Dumper:
This is the first error I run into: Failed to open content of NCA section «0»: ResultFsNonRealDataVerificationFailed (2002-4604): Hash error!
The second error(s) I've run into were multiple NCA entry «...» of type «DeltaFragment» missing. errors.

2) Migdumptool v0.0.2:
Only the multiple NCA entry «...» of type «DeltaFragment» missing. errors this time around.

I have the latest prod.keys and title.keys.
Both XCI's integrity check resulted with: Original.

I've noticed that some games do not have any errors while some of them have those NCA entry «...» of type «DeltaFragment» missing. errors. I wonder if that's because the dumps are trimmed or something? How can I avoid getting those errors? By dumping non-trimmed XCIs? If so, is there a guide on how to do that?

EDIT: Just found this post, so I guess those DeltaFragment are related to the updates and those errors can be ignored and are otherwise normal? Therefore, Migdumptool is a bit more reliable at creating dumps? How to do the same thing with MIG Dumper tool instead?

Yes, they made a blog post on December 7, 2024 showcasing this new case design, and I also reposted the video in this post.
