hello. does the switch use hdcp? I can't seem to get it to work on a second television. I bought each component separately: the dock directly from Nintendo, the power cable from best buy, and the hdmi cable on ebay. I'm not sure what the problem is. I have it, and my tv, plugged into a hdmi switcher. it detects my tv, but I can't get it to detect my switch.
 
Yes it does HDCP, although the implementation is poor (which is why a lot of people had problems with some TVs and monitors when 5.0.0 was released - most of the issues were fixed, but not all). Your issue could be HDCP related, could be all kinds of other things though.

Bypass the hdmi switch and retest if you haven't already. Then swap out components from your known good setup until you rule out the issue. Some say to manually change resolution on the switch.
