Wow, what a way to go out....Shane pulls a Chris Benoit, Ronnie goes to jail and Vick get's off scott-free albeit losing his family and living in a personal/professional hell for 3 years or go to prison himself.

Interesting ending to the best show on cable for the past 7 years, IMHO.

Feel free to discuss any of you favorite, or most memorable The Shield moments.

In between the end of the last series and the start of this one I watched The Wire which more or less rendered every other police show pointless. However the first episode of this series came on and it all returned.

Anyway about to watch it and it being the last ever it is sure to be good.

Re ending 3 series' ago. Something may have been said but I am glad it did not.

Anyway just finished it. It was a good ending, possibly even a great one. Something did not feel right though although I suppose if it had been a cliffhanger ending I would have had to headbutt something.

Somehow I think another episode like co-pilot (first episode of the second series if I recall correctly that had the events of the pilot from a different angle, also the first episode I saw) is what it called for.

I will have to pick up the DVDs (assuming the r2 releases are not screwed up by Sony again) and see if there was an alternative ending.

Im gutted to be honest, i didnt expect that to happen at all.... you could tell from vics eyes he was going to pull something or kill somebody, but he didnt, he did nothing, it was obvious ronnie was going down he had no real game plan, i would have run, vic knew full well what was going to happen so both run and get out, maybe a major shoot out at the end, but to be honest when vic was shown the photos in the cell and the bit where he was sat in his cubicle i thought he was going to kill himself.


What ending would you have liked to see??? i can imagine the dvd set will have alternative endings
