Hi,

I have run into a little Preloader problem that disallows my use of my Wii, but it's not bricked. First some background. I softmodded my Wii with xzxero's guide here:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?&showtopi...e=show&st=0

All was well, but then my friend borrowed my remotes and he did a "standard sync" by using the red buttons to his Wii. I have the remotes back now but because my Wii boots directly into the Preloader menu, it cannot sync with the remotes. Batteries are fine but the four blue lights keep flashing then stop and quit.. until I press a button again. I can't do anything on this Preloader screen at all. I want to get to the System Menu so I can resync and actually use the Wii again. Surely, I can't be the only one this has happened to?
Is there a way to bypass the Preloader menu somehow? I read you can hold reset to bypass the SM to get to Preloader but I want the exact opposite.

Hoping for any suggestions at all. Thanks.

I need to install the new jodi preloader and bootmii. I think this is what I need to do for preloader.

I'm not sure but I think the steps are:
1. Dl your system menu and IOS60 wad from NUSD
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/NUSD
2. Install system menu wad
3. Install IOS60 wad
4. Use Truncha Bug Restorer
5. Install this new preloader

Questions:
1. How do I do step 1?
2. Is step 4 necessary?
3. Is there any other way to do this than reinstalling the system menu?
4. Is this new preloader safe for system menu 4.0?
5. Does the new HBC screw up Bootmii booting to HBC also? YES

phpgeek answered my questions in the other thread.

Step by step instructions would be nice for those trying to install this new preloader who already have it installed.

Yes that is pretty much how I would do it!

1.) Download a clean System Menu and IOS60.
2.) Install IOS60 Wad
3.) Install System Menu Wad
4.) Optionally patch IOS60 if that sort of thing floats your boat.
5.) Install this patched version of preloader.

Answers:

1.) Use NUS Downloader to download and create the wads.
2.) Only if you want IOS60 trucha enabled (you may have to install preloader twice to avoid system files corrupt message).
3.) None that I would be willing to recommend.
4.) Yes, it's safe to use with 4.0.

Not that I am aware considering that both these apps = Team Twiizers.

According to a video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu_UD7PJdp4

We have to install the latest version of Bootmii because it also cannot boot to the new HBC.

So what would be the steps to reinstall bootmii?

Maybe they are:
1. Dl the hackmii installer online and throw it on your sd card or
just dl it through HBC itself
2. Boot the hackmii installer
3. Uninstall Bootmii
4. Reinstall Bootmii

I don't like the sounds of reinstalling a boot2 bootmii.

Well i open HBC click on the preloader. it loads up the disclaimer warning and then nothing happens it just stays on that screen for a really long time, then i tried turning it off with the power button and that did not work, so i have to disconnect it from the back.

ok well that screen is the only screen it waits for you to enter a command. Hold B button and press + button, this will install preloader.
