way back when, the Wii had something called the Nintendo Channel, that let you see how long you've played certain games. It used Wiiconnect24, so it's long past dead. Is there any way to get past that limitation and still use it? I'd love to see how much time I spent on my Wii in the past 10 years

if you opened the Nintendo channel on your wii, you can send the Dump files to Riiconnect24 for built the executable data again... https://riiconnect24.net/vff/

Open the "Nintendo Channel"? you're saying I didn't ever even have to use it? because I used it ages ago, but my brother deleted the data to save space after the WC24 shutdown.

I have save data for Forecast Channel, News Channel and Everybody Votes Channel. Not Nintendo Channel and Check Mii Out Channel.
The stats of the channels are here: https://riiconnect24.net/stats/
The blog and the updates are here: https://blog.riiconnect24.net

This doesn't exactly answer my question, but i'll go ahead and ask on the Discord server anyway.
What I meant was that I used to have save data for the Nintendo Channel, but sinced I bricked the Wii, it was not possible to do a nand dump and extract the data.

Before uninstalling it, I made a WAD backup of every WC24 channel, and if I remember correctly about how the WAD backups work, I believe that they also include any save and/or downloaded data that you had. Perhaps one of these days I should try digging them up to find out whether or not they contain any useful files.
Damn, I used it a lot. Don't have it or its save data anymore though...

RIP Dark Gary
Dude, seriously, that bites. Speaking of bites, have you tried this? Tasty!

G'day Chary,
If you are only after your playing time, there is a homebrew app that will give you that information - playstats (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Playstats).
However, it only tracks the time played using discs or Wiiware, not games played from backups.
