mrfatso: I'll try, but my first few undub attempts (The World Ends With You (U)) were FAIL. Some voices were still in English, the game kept freezing, etc.

no they're not pointless. you can change backlight codes without turningoff the DS, this usefull for games that are quite lenghty like GTA or Dragon Quest. It is so stupid to turn off the DS just for changing the light, Nintendo put the ability to switch lights brighter on their new DSi without turning it off.
