Id like to note I updated my last post about the Retrogame Challange cheats on previous page.

I'm having a weird problem with this cheat database.

After I select the new cheat database in my iTouch DS's browser and try to select some cheats for a game (any game), I get a weird error that says something along the lines of "No cheatcode for this game".

I am using the latest firmware for the card (v2.4) and I followed the instructions to the letter.

Anyone any ideas how to fix this?

i am very sure there are cheats for my world, my way

just make sure you download the latest cheat .dat from cheats.gbatemp.net
otherwise, add the codes by yourself with the use of r4cce!
by the way, i had posted some codes for that game a couple pages ago...

well you can always download the .xml from cheats.gbatemp.net
but if you want a U only .xml
then you can try download the Cheat(UE).dat and open it with r4cce
remove games that you don't want and save as .xml

The game itself does have lots of cheats so we can definitely rule that out. I don't think this is a game ID issue either. The iTouch DS comes with its own little database of cheats that, while it has quite a lot, it doesn't quite have as many cheats for this game as I was hoping. That database uses the same ID's as Narin's for the game so I am at a loss to explain why it works for me and Narin's doesn't. Even more oddly, if I edit the database that came with the iTouch firmware update, then it also gives me the same error as Narin's does, but only for that particular game.

I checked the ROM using r4cee and it is definitely included in the list of cheats (though it is "duped" for the European and USA versions of the game). I have the USA rom.

I am not sure where to go from here I guess.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

no need to be so formal
there's some game that actually doesn't have code like Flower Sun and Rain for example (i really want this)
the reason could be the game was not made to be cheated, or maybe it's not popular, or maybe it's already have a cheat but have a bug that make it no use.

Advice: Try another region of that game
some game like International Track and Field in EU version has cheat, but USA version don't have cheat
some other game have it different cheat code included inside the region.

i don't know how iTouch DS works (it's not r4 clone right?) maybe you insert the GBATemp cheat db, with the old one, so the reason it's not readed because there's malfunction of the db

maybe a little detail?

To R4 users and its clones, use either CHEAT.dat or USRCHEAT.dat and not both, using both will cause some codes and games not to show up.

For those having problems with some games not showing up like Yu-Gi-Oh its due to a bug/limit in your flashcart (R4, M3 Simply, ect) and you have a few options.

Hi im completely new to this whole thing, i followed the Credits & Help text file but is says "Cheat DB file is not found" when i try and load a cheat for any game

Ok, I've recently changed my R4 firmware for YS Menu. According to a guide, the file cheat.dat should be in the TTMenu Folder. Well, I got the newest cheat.dat in there and I can't use any cheats on any of my games.

What could possibly be wrong? : /

yeah don't need to be so formal! just straight to the point

can you tell us what is the game you are trying to play? and use r4cce ... function to check the game id and post it here! so is easier for us to help you

when you mentioned the word duped, it could be it is PATCHED! when a game is PATCHED, sometimes the game id will change

so i would recommend you get a CLEAN ROM (non PATCHED) to see whether the cheats APPEAR or not!!! if it APPEARS that means the GAME ID is changed after patching

as for acekard2 official firmware
Do as the following

Copy AR cheats in .dat or .xml format to /__ak2/cheats. Copy .cc format file to the same directory of file.
Press "Y" to popup the editor.
Select "Cheat DB file".
Select the cheat file.
Select "Rebuild".
If you have the cheat code of the software then a list window will be shown. You can use "X" and "Y" to enable or disnable them.
Press "A" to save your changes and enter software for fun.

i am very sure there are cheats for my world, my way

just make sure you download the latest cheat .dat from cheats.gbatemp.net
otherwise, add the codes by yourself with the use of r4cce!
by the way, i had posted some codes for that game a couple pages ago...

well you can always download the .xml from cheats.gbatemp.net
but if you want a U only .xml
then you can try download the Cheat(UE).dat and open it with r4cce
remove games that you don't want and save as .xml

thats nothing wrong with the .dat
there are a few reasons contribute to that
1st) the game doesn't have a cheat
2nd) the game id is different from the one we have in the .dat

solutions:-
a) you can always refer to the gamelist for list of game which is included into the .dat
b) use r4cce "..." function to check the games id and use ?DUP to see whether the game you wish to play is it duplicated
if the game is not duplicated then you can try change the game id accordingly and save it
