To R4DS Users:
To R4 users and its clones, use either CHEAT.dat or USRCHEAT.dat and not both, using both will cause some codes and games not to show up.

For those having problems with some games not showing up like Yu-Gi-Oh its due to a bug/limit in your flashcart (R4, M3 Simply, ect) and you have a few options.
Plese check out this notice for more information on how to fix this problem:

I also suggest using <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=103879" target="_blank">YSMenu</a>, a replacement firmware for the R4DS which offers better game compatibility, features and also has better cheat support. YSMenu doesn't cut off any of the cheats and displays all the cheats for all the games and don't have the problems the R4DS has with some cheats.

Hey all. I have a little problem with seeing some cheats on my ds. I use a N5 so im not sure if most of the cheats that should be there but arent due to that bug the R4 and it's clones have.

One of these cheats there were here before I updated to the latest cheat packs was Professor Layton and the Curious Village. I think at the beginning of January there was cheats for it there but after I updated to the later cheats about beginning of Feb I believe the cheats for it just dissappeared. Now I didn't change anything but the usercheat file for the latest cheats and all. Proof that I had cheats for the game before shows me with over 900 hint coins.

I have tried the using r4 fix thing for cheats not appearing but theres still no sign of professor layton cheats appearing. Doesn't seem like any of the other missing cheats appeared either.

All together I have 8 games without cheats that I have seen in the games list with cheats. I understand if my Soma Bringer doesn't have cheats as thats been translated. Does renaming the files actually matter? Say for Mario Kart if I removed the (U) and the numbers on it so its just Mario Kart.nds would the cheats stop appearing? Because I believe I did this with all my games but some still have cheats.

well, to answer your question: nope renaming your file doesn't matter, what matter is your game ID, some games thanks to having undergo a patched, their game ID might change, in this case, u just have to change the ID back

well, Narin and the rest of cheat code crew will not remove any codes unless of course they turn out to be wifi, in this case, they will be removed and mentioned, so before u do anything,please check the changelog or gamelist and the game should be there

that would means that somewhere along the line, u messed up installing ysmenu, but have no fear, to make sure your cheat code can be seen, i suggest the following:

-Check your gameID, u be surprised at how often this pops up...

-Move your game to the top or topper of your list

-Remove any game that u know u sure as heck will not touch for example those imagine games perhaps?

-and if those doesn't work, then nuts, u might want to have a look at the faq thread... they might help solve your problem...

in other words, check the faq, since your problem is similar to the r4 problem

especially someone who spend time doing these codes, note: they are just like rom translator, they don't get paid a penny and yet here, they have to face guys like u who totally don't appreciate what they have done, if only u read just that one page before, u would have feel hopefully foolish enough that you could have miss such an obvious post...

Asked this onanother thread so sorry to double post but!

Does anyone know how to get these cheats to work on a supercard SDHC? because the cheats used on the supercard are totally different to the ones hoster here, the SC cheats are individual for each game but this cheat seems to be in one file.

So please anyone

from what i heard supercard you can use DSTT firmware

why not try DSTT firmware or ysmenu ...

and you need usrcheat.dat for dstt fw or ysmenu

correct me if i am wrong
