The proposed nD console will cost $19.99, and come with a copy of Bob's Game pre-loaded onto it. Apparently it will be come with an online app store that can be accessed on your computer, and the handheld will then plug into your computer via USB, and be able to download games straight onto it. It's also going to be open to any indies who wish to develop for it.

nD.com response to questions of legitimacyyes, of course it’s real!
be sure to bring your sense of humor to get my anti-marketing marketing!
(otherwise, you might be confused and accidentally continue paying hundreds of dollars for plastic toys!)

please take note of the bullet points in our mission statement- this system is designed to be absolutely the most fair and beneficial to both developers and gamers alike.

It reminds me a white GBA with colorful buttons.

But on topic, it looks like a great device for its cost.
And I would prefer to see the console in live action instead of a cheap 3D model.

I might as well just quote myself from the EoF.

Ok looking at the new site the lack of info on what is meant to be a totally open platform is quite laughable. I'd expect more than SDK == plain ol SDL. How abouts some planned hardware specs, at least what family of SOC your planning on using, clock speed, amount of memory, will you be running on the bare metal, some tiny custom OS, or on top of an existing OSS kernel?

FFS I bet a few of us tempers could get more than this together in a couple of weeks. Prototypes by Christmas at the latest too.

Actually you know fuck it, I need something to do. In all seriousness anyone want to make the EoF's own handheld with me I'm well up for it.

Updated with nD's response to questions of legitimacy.
I want pictures, specs, something more than "It's real, trust us!"
So in other words
Pics or it didn't happen.

Even more realistic prices for early runs would bring a bit more credence. I mean look at Raspberry Pi. It even has David Braben behind it, is a charity project, and is going into production soon. Even this is costing $25 to begin with.

Unless I see a real model, it's not real.

Or at least a real physical dev board with the screen and buttons running a game.

I remember getting an email from gBev about this a coouple months ago...I honestly don't care about anything Bob makes or is involved with anymore, I've completely given up hope for him.

I think it's too good to be true because the cell phone screens aren't a couple of bucks.
dude it's about 10 dollars in industrial terms
and also it will have gba graphics and bad games
so it will be almost useless

Robert Pelloni= world's biggest troll.
edit: Site after 5 mins reminds me of someone who makes a video, then asks for funding, direction, etc. Almost certainly fake.
