The proposed nD console will cost $19.99, and come with a copy of Bob's Game pre-loaded onto it. Apparently it will be come with an online app store that can be accessed on your computer, and the handheld will then plug into your computer via USB, and be able to download games straight onto it. It's also going to be open to any indies who wish to develop for it.

Ok looking at the new site the lack of info on what is meant to be a totally open platform is quite laughable. I'd expect more than SDK == plain ol SDL. How abouts some planned hardware specs, at least what family of SOC your planning on using, clock speed, amount of memory, will you be running on the bare metal, some tiny custom OS, or on top of an existing OSS kernel?

FFS I bet a few of us tempers could get more than this together in a couple of weeks. Prototypes by Christmas at the latest too.

Actually you know fuck it, I need something to do. In all seriousness anyone want to make the EoF's own handheld with me I'm well up for it.

Even more realistic prices for early runs would bring a bit more credence. I mean look at Raspberry Pi. It even has David Braben behind it, is a charity project, and is going into production soon. Even this is costing $25 to begin with.

and also it will have gba graphics and bad games
so it will be almost useless
