I'm anti-AI too, but this is just... statistics that aren't doing anything. Like, we've already established everyone here pretty much already has their minds set one way or another, posting the same statistics again isn't changing anyone's mind. All this does is waste emissions you're so concerned about

Probably more emissions were wasted by the farts I dropped while posting it, but. The stats are because the chump who claims the environmental harm is bullshit also claims that there's no believable supporting evidence. Yet here it is, and while I'm too world-weary to believe that facts will make him change his mind, it will at least make it clear to anyone else that he's full of shit.

There are hints to some sources, and the whole thing is tagged by r.fyi which first guess might be a subreddit. I'll admit I didn't have the motivation to go chase down detailed sources for someone else's benefit, but the option is there.
