Headphone jacks (AUX) carry an analog signal, gold plating is more conductive than a lot of other metals that often used in cheaper cables. Gold plated aux cables could easily improve the audio quality. You're thinking of gold plated HDMI cables which carry a digital signal. Those are snake oil.

Mostly that the ones being stolen from this time arent a multi billion dollar company who also stole their ips from a separate company and then tried to copyright the idea of monster taming games in general. I get people are salty that palworld has its pokemon look alikes but the fact that the rest of the game is completely different and that craftopia existed before it and Nintendo and its fans didnt care matters in context.

So to answer your question as to whats wrong its the equivalence of a 10 year old(copycat) beating up another 10 year old(palworld) vs palworld(10 year old) getting beat up by Nintendo(Old ass adult). Simply put ones child on child violence which is wrong but morally understandable kids be kids. The other is child abuse which is just wrong.

Even cheaper cables use copper, which interestingly is the second best conductive metal (of course cables made in China can be made from whatever). The best conductor is silver, but the difference to copper is negligible and price could be prohibitive (although you can get quite cheap silver plated cables).

Gold is worse conductor than copper or silver, but used as connection plating as it does not tarnish, worsening the contact. Gold plating isn't actually snake oil in any connector, analog or digital, due aforementioned resistance to tarnishing.

Only when talking about electrical connections. I have seen gold plated toslink connectors advertised as having superior sound quality because of it, being sold at ridiculous prices.

By some its like maybe 10 you can say that about out of like 200 rn . Which means its less ripoff an more of an omage if it was every single one id get it but in terms of ip ripoff even Nintendo knew better then to try and sue for it meaning theres nothing there worth mentioning. Thats being the case Nintendo has legit stolen entire gameplay and story designs from other franchises mostly from Digimon with mega evolution and even dynamax and alpha pokemon being stuff taken straight from different digimon games. But its like people see them do the same thing things and think its OK cause its Nintendo

What I was actually thinking is that Palland is available on Nintendo Switch. Palworld is not allowed because "it's IP stealing", but Palland is ok.
