The codes that wouldn't import into the CycloDS editor before (FF III, Pokemon etc) seem to import fine now into it (using the CHEAT.evocheats file). I just have to 'acquire' the relevant roms now to check if the codes work.

It doesn't seem to cause any problems with the other cheats from what I can tell.

I will get back later and let you know, unless someone else can check, I have to go out shortly, damn friends wanting to drag me to the pub

@Rayder, I know what you mean about dealing with real world crap. I kinda have to deal with some too. Im in my final year in Univercity and deadlines are coming up, i got to spend more time working then playing my DS. =( well anyway, this might be my last post for sometime.... so i like to contribute something... i removed all 685 of the Phat DS backlight codes from your current CHEAT.DAT i uploaded it to rapidshare and GBAtemp download section. its only they CHEAT.DAT because i dont know how to convert it for other flashcarts.

Note: i have added it to the GBAtemp download section under R4DS. but i think it needs to be approved first. so wait for it if you cant get it from rapidshare or if Rayder hasnt updated it yet.

Well.....I managed to get about 5% of my real life crap sorted today. I corrected a bunch of track tags and stabilized the bitrates of a few discographies I've acquired and added them to our music library. Still have twice as many more larger discographies to go on that....sigh.....and all of those only equal about 20% of my total real life crap to deal with. My damn car (I swear it KNOWS when I'm getting a tax return

) blew its speedometer cable (or sensor or whatever) today and I need to figure out why the radiator fan isn't turning on since warmer weather is starting. Not to mention other little annoying problems with that P.O.S. ('95 Saturn SL2). Already found out I'll have to wait until Monday to get that stuff looked at. We have some major housecleaning to do.....taxes....general PC maintenance (cleaning out the dust and fans of 6 PC's)

....the list goes on. Lotsa CRAP to take care of that I've been putting off for too long.

At least kingof4j removed those DS phat backlight codes for me.....that's one less thing hanging over my head. Thanks again.

There's a problem with the aimbot code though......it can be used to cheat online. I don't knowingly add cheats that effect online play to the dat. Undoubtedly there are some such codes still in the dat since I don't actually use cheats (other than the backlight codes) and therefore don't test them, but I remove cheats that work online as I'm made aware of them. Local DS-to-DS WiFi codes are fine, just not online WiFi codes. I consider cheats that work in online multi-player malicious. That's not what this dat is all about. It is for helping people get through places they may be stuck in a game, or just having fun after thry've beat a game, not dominating online rankings. This dat is for mommy and daddy to hook up their kids with cheats so their kids can have more fun with their games.

If Zeld has a version of the aimbot that DOES NOT work online, but DOES work in local DS-to-DS multiplayer, I will add it.

This dat has become extremely popular. If I added online WiFi codes, no one would have fun online (especially people without an AR capable device) and it would ruin Ninty's online games worse than they already are.

Actually, in the old, old cheat thread, I did used to include online cheat codes. It was Zeld himself that convinced me (in an indirect way) to remove any online cheats from the dat.

EDIT: I would say leave the code posted and let people add it themselves if they want it. For reasons stated above, I will not add it to the dat. Sorry.

another is that u have put a "?" for things you dont know. before it was a "&" and in xml the "?" dont work and it is damaged.

No its the old DS backlight codes, they were deleted as the games are pretty much unplayable whithout backlight. The DS lite's backlights codes stay as some games are fustrating with low backlight.

hanschke, I mean the Original DS. not the DS lite. If you have an original DS, would you want to play a game with no backlight?
That is why the codes were all removed from the cheat.dat

I tested the new evocheat file and I am happy to say it does work. The problem codes pop a new error message on the ds but it does not cause a freeze. You just can't use the code. I will still keep editing it myself, the cyclo doesn't need backlight codes and it saves like 220kb on the size of the file.

I will still edit every single one and post it on the cyclo forums just because there is no point in overloading the file with codes that do not work on the cyclos(back light codes not needed and for example all weekly puzzles on professor layton)

Nope nothing to show off, if anything I just backed belgarath when he was ill. He did it first (and faster then I would have ever done). I just tried to automate it. Now my only hope is cyclo updates its cheate engine to support the few broken codes...

Added the codes that bleach_ownz posted.

Fixed the goof with the Metroid codes.

Changed the EVO file to the proper name....user.evoCheats.

The EDGE card's cheats are just as up to date as the other cards. I have no idea why the file is smaller. It might have something to do with how it does codes and it doesn't take up as much space. I don't know.

Also somewhat updated the Credits & Help.txt.

I wish that where possible, until ez team adds full action replay support it can not be converted. trust me on this I own one of these otherwise great cards. hopefully in a future release it will be possible

Yeah....R4CCE doesn't save a .cht file, so I don't know how to help you. Wish I could though.....the more the merrier.
