I've got some good news for you, dear gbatempers

Yesterday in the morning I got an email from M3 Sakura developers.
They're working at new Eu/US Sakura version.
I got a test-version of Sakura, that has integrated 4.3 system files (we may call it TouchPod or kernel files)
It'll have new "Immediate code" option for NDS-cheats (I guess, it's a solution for some 'protected games', that makes available to use the Roms without patching them on PC) (The solution of 10 seconds cheat delay, I guess)

By the way, the new OFFICIAL version of sakura will have Russian language, so I won't have to replace one of the included languages (as I did before)

I'm looking forward to reading from M3 Team soon (I mean, I can't wait till new official SAKURA is released)

P.S.: I'm going to test it a little bit more as soon as I get home from work to tell if any of other known bugs are to be solved (or are already solved) in the upcoming version

I don't know yet if the SELECT-button "FastLaunch"-menu is fixed, because I was short of time =(
But I promise to test it for all known & listed in the FAQ bugs and report here if the bugs are solved or not

My working day ends in a couple of hours, so in 3-3,5 hours I'll be able to test Sakura

No, I hope, this time it will be much faster

You see, the email I received was sent to me not as an answer to my questions)))
And it came from the person, who asked the translators to send the files messages.00X
Also, I understood, that M3 Team is eager to release Sakura as soon as it's possible because they asked to reply & send the improvements of the translation as fast as I could, so..
..the conclusion is: we'll get the official update REALLY SOON!)))

I really appreciate M3 Team's work at Sakura project!)
And also I'm grateful to all the people, who helped them in their work!

Finally I got home

I've just tested the SELECT button and UNFORTUNATELY, the bug isn't solved yet =(

The other bugs will be tested in a few minutes, as I'm downloading M&L 3 & making a back-up of my Flash card data (In order to check the MorningTimer issue)
About M&L 3 RPG: I don't know japanese AT ALL, And I haven't read what was the problem =)
Upd.
The settings I used to start the game: I selected "Instant code" cheat-mode, selected the 1st cheat from the latest Narin database-file, selected the soft-reset function "L+R+SELECT" and started the game. I saw some Japanese message and after that I saw the logos and the selection screen, selected the upper words. After that I selected the save-file & started the game. Some Mushroom people.. a princess in the Mushroom castle, some dialogues that i couldn't understand.. Mario & Luigi entering the castle.. I finally could move them & jump by pressing a&b buttons.. I hope we can consider the game working in Sakura, am I right?)

Next.. as for the situation with RTS: I started TMNT: 3 Mutant Nightmare with RTS "ON" and after soft-resetting the console (after playing a bit) started Korg DS (It had RTS "OFF" - It started perfectly =)

Now with the Morning Timer: I started it, set up an alarm and in a minute it sounded. after that I turned the alarm off and turned off the console. I started Sakura and the DiskCheck worked just fine. I can read the text-files, i can listen to the music, I can play the videos.
I DELETED THE PREVIOUS MORNING.DAT-File that was created long ago by the previous (Sakura 1.12+) version of morning timer BEFORE STARTING THE NEW ONE

Long cheat descriptions still get cut off =(

I can't test the GBA save-files issue, because I've got Phat DS & my Rumble pack is made for NDS Lite, sorry.
That's it.

Oh, and another small issue i've found: they still don't write correctly the description of the cheatswitch for NDS (The "Always On" and "SEL+Left/SEL+Right" are still messed up, but I'll correct the problem & send them the improved files of all the translations, not only Russian one

And OF COURSE, I'll REPORT the bug with SELECT button & Long cheat descriptions

they lost the SELECT button function in the Asia version on the newest A05 too

))

and load Mario & Luigi RPG 3 without any cheats, if the games loads fine instead of 2 white screens, then it works

The issue with this was it made ALL the data on the mem card INVISIBLE ...in windows it showed the card had data used on it it ... It was just Inaccessible on the computer (files were not hidden) they just DON'T show up in windows!

Sakura's kinda... slow on my new 4 gig Kingston SD Micro (Class 4). I tried using the Panasonic SD Formatter but it's still slow. I believe the Panasonic SD Formatter just formats it with a 32 kb file allocation size. In the formatter in Vista, there's an option for a 64 kb file allocation size as well as a 32. Do you think that would help improve the speed of my videos and music? My videos and music sometimes skip a little... and they didn't on my old 2 gig unbranded SD Micro.

Hey guys just checking in to see whats happening. Densetsu3000 I've just figured a way out to get the M3 iSakuReal to work. Well the iTouch part any way. I don't have any experience in homebrew making so I'll need someone to help me. Densetsu3000 if you would like to know my idea then PM me and that goes for anyone.

which files are you always replacing in the SYSTEM folder to get the newest TouchPod Kernel in the Sakura Double Loader?

ic.dat
m3_g.dat
m3_m.dat
menu.eng - for english (and the others with same names for other languages)
minigame.eng - for english (and the others with same names for other languages)

after some tests:
1. Cheats "Always On" and "On/Off,Sel+Left/Sel+Right" are still in the wrong place
2. txt cheat files still doesn't work
3. there's still something appearing in the upper left corner screen after using a Soft Reset
4. push Select to Open Launch Menu still doesn't work

I hope that the next official release is the one that incorporates piracy auto patch and GTA: CW fix instead of letting us several releases behind their old Touchpod release (which I never used since I switch to M3 Real)
