I've been using the e-shop, and I've gotta say...it is very impressive. I mean, IMO it's better than the DSi shop and the Wii shop combined. I completely underestimated it, I thought it was going to be crap or just plain bland. The GUI looks very nice, the presentation is very good as well, the "Related Videos" feature shocked me, I wasn't expecting it, the points to $ change is very welcome.

I'd give it an 8/10.

I don't plan on buying anything anyway. I just enter the eShop for free stuff and the 3D trailers. The games are pricey, playing them on an emulator is better IMO.

I'm looking forward to the demos, hopefully we get every demo that was at E3 sometime later.

If more content would come I would give it 8.5/10

Seriously, this eShop is much more organised, and faster than the DSi Shop.

I love the 3DS trailers that are in 3D. That alone made me love the shop. But I also do love that you can view currently released 3DS games. This is just the beginning, I expect that we'll all see a lot more.

I miss points. Only because I got taxed on buying a cash card to begin with, and then I'm getting taxed on each purchase. It's sort of a problem for people who can only buy cash cards. Like I have 9.92, if something shows up for 9.99 I wanna get I'd have to add a full 20. So I feel like I'm getting less for the same I spent on points before, where you only get taxed once.

I have a debit card mind you but I also have GS store credit, and I can see it being a turn off for people

Change your eshop location to a state that doesn't have a sales tax (e.g. Oregon, Alaska, etc.). That way you pay exactly what it says the price is.

Bad searching, bad categories, no 3D trailers for NA folks, the screenshots aren't in 3D (really, Nintendo?), the UI seems very clunky and inefficient, not enough content despite waiting for 3 months, and some other things I can't think of right now (i'll update if I remember).

The 3D classics seem to be cool though but I'm not that big of a fan of Excitebike.

I was so excited for this

I agree the eShop is quite bad. The prices are horrible, the GUI is ugly, the downloads are slow. I also don't understand why you have to pay tax. Amazon doesn't make me pay tax. I thought you only had to pay tax when the seller had a physical store in your state. Last I checked there is no Nintendo store in my state.

There's also very little content. How hard can it be to emulate games? Also you should get to have the Wii virtual console games you've purchased free on the 3DS.

The US game prices are okay without taxes.

Other than that, the eShop is fantastic COMPARED TO DSISHOP

It's much faster and organized.

The eShop overall experience without comparison is pleasant.

To be more precise, Nintendo has been around for 122 years.
