Is there any advantage of installing this as Boot2 instead of IOS?

yeah nintendo cant delete it by updating the iso that its using.

But it's at the expense of having it autoboot every time you start up your Wii? Could be a little annoying after a while

You can set the autoboot to system menu in the .ini file.

Ok, and I can change it to autoboot again should my Wii brick right?

Also, if I did a NAND backup, will this delete any of my channels stored on my SD Card even though I copied everything from the root of my SD Card to a folder? Should I do a NAND backup before my Wii bricks or after my Wii bricks?

It's worth it, though. You do realize that BootMii's brick protection powers rely on it being installed to boot2, I hope. Besides, your Wii will boot normally if you don't have the SD Card with BootMii's files in it.

And you do your NAND backup BEFORE your Wii bricks. It won't do you any good to do a backup of your brick! XD

Is it possible to take a NAND backup from one Wii and use it to "restore" another Wii?

god, this question was only answered a few posts up, and countless times in the other bootmii thread. search before you ask stupid questions!

no. you cant take a nand backup from one wii and use it to restore another wii.

Ok so I downloaded HBC 1.0.2 but I dont see an option to Launch BootMii. Is that only if you installed it as an IOS?

Yup. Just install it as both Boot2 and IOS254 and you'll have both booting methods at your disposal.

Yes only if you install the BootMii as an IOS it will show in the HBC 1.0.2...

Something I like about BootMii is that you can boot to HBC. Cause if your someone like me that does travel with their wii and not liking to bring their sensor bar with them you can just choose to boot into HBC and boot GeckoOS or USB Loader to play your games. Well I does bring my wii sometimes in my father's car when we are driving long distances.

Ok I'm backing up my NAND and it has found a few bad blocks. Is that a big deal? Would it affect anything?
If its under 21 Blocks you should be fine. If its over 21 blocks thats kinda bad.

where did you get that specific number '21' from?

as one of the posts above me, TT say anywhere between 0 and 80 is fine and normal.

21 was just my Number Guess.

But 80 blocks sounds like it could destroy your Wii.

What do I have to change in the BootMii config file to change from AutoBoot to System Menu?

Some have experienced issues with the ini file not being recognised by BootMii after being edited. A helpful poster figured out the problem, and offers a dl pack of fuctioning ini's for every possible configuration here:

I dont know if I have any issues, because it autoboots fine. What I'm asking it what I need to edit to change from autoboot to systemmenu
