I've been playing NDS for a very long time now, It's been so long that I can hardly keep track of that moment when I got my fat DS with my first paycheck at Wendy's. I was going to get a PSP but all I could afford was a fat DS, that ended up being a great choice. I discovered my trusty old r4 which I always found a way to get any game I want working for, The 3 of us discovered hundreds of worlds full of imagination and fun, but I wanted to give something back. So here it is time to build a collection of all the greatest obscure hacks, translations, gems, underlooked, forgotten, and everything it is that represents the NDS. While I already have a strong outline of what I plan to do, feel free to suggest ideas because as Aristotle always said. "Wisdom begins with wonder.''

Stop the colors, PLEASE! And as much as I don't care for the idea, as there is already a Rom Hacking section of GBAtemp, you should start with translations.

Well, head on over here, abd you'll find all you need.
Also, please get some help.
PPS: Got my Phat on release date. And it still works like a charm. 11/3/2004-16/4/2011!! That's 2592 days!!! That's how many days of fun the DS has brought to me! I'm happy to have one, too.

I have it well under control, it's a different idea but it will manifest in a way that gives the NDS the appreciation it deserves, and it will be a good time capsule for this day where the NDS still mattered.

But seriously, why make a thread compiling what we essentially have a whole forum section about?

Because there isn't one in green.

What's wrong with colored text?

Maybe I should post in white from now on...

Ahh, it's so nice to see that in black text, my eyes are saved.

Anyway, maybe you can do a little history piece on the early flashcart scene. I didn't get started until summer of last year so I would like to be filled in on what I missed.

So, I have to ask. Are you looking exclusively for work done by fans (translations, patches, and the like) or are you looking to try and encapsulate what made the DS awesome as a whole?

I would enjoy hearing some of peoples experiences with rom hacking patches, games they particularly enjoyed from the scene, anything that increases my knowledge. ''Wisdom begins with wonder.''-Aristotle

Why not they just mine Monero instead of scamming vulnerable people? If they have a decent machine they can hit a jackpot at any given time.

Technically, cryptocurrencies aren't illegal, as long as you don't use it for criminal activity. If you sign up with an exchange, and that they get a tip from law enforcement, they have the right to freeze your assets.

Nigeria's central bank did make crypto illegal before, until last year they lifted the ban. Always make sure to check before you exchange. ;)

@SylverReZ, speaking of crypto i remember reading about a guy who spend like 10 grand bitcoin on a couple pizzas (when bitcoin wasnt as worthy as nowadays)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's mental. If he had saved up when Bitcoin sky-rocketed in price, then he might've become the next Jeff Bezos for all I know.

@SylverReZ, he couldnt know the price was gonna skyrocket anyway
