The Analogue 3D has been delayed yet again

Analogue has announced that they have delayed their previous delay of the shipment date for the Analogue 3D console. The first delay, announced in July, was a result of recent tariff concerns, but this push back was not given a specific reason, citing "unexpected, uncommon" issues. Currently, the new shipping date for the hardware is Q4 2025. When it does eventually launch, the Analogue 3D aims to be an FPGA system that offers 100% compatibility with the Nintendo 64 library, offering Bluetooth controller support and HDMI output.

I mean is this a shock? The N64 is a system that still lacks perfect emulation to this day. I can't be shocked that fpga is far from ready.

Well i have a real N64 with RAM expansion and i still prefer to play on a emulator ... Its just so more convenient to have all my retro games on a single machine than having to connect a system just to play a quick session of Mario Kart 64 or any other game and/or system.

In fact i'm thinking on selling all my retro collection up to and including GameCube/Xbox/PS2 .

All this to say that buying a FPGA machine that does not run all systems its still a hassle.

They take the piss, you email enquiring if they're actually going to release as stated and not delay yet again.

And all you get is an ignorant cunt copy pasting the same bullshit that you already know off the website.

The cunt won't even reply and confirm if they've even began production yet.

This. There's no reason Analogue can't just make one powerful FPGA computer that plays all of the systems other than greed
I mean you say that, but they usually allow you to run other FPGA cores on their systems shortly after launch. They just haven't done a system with a shit ton of cartridge ports, and I can't say I expect them to.

N64?

Where are you based?

The controller was released this month, I already got mine, its good.
I use retrofighters its good but only downfall is for wireless your rumble/memory port is in the controller port and your controller has nothing.

So if like me you have a multi memory card and need to switch between its card banks, you've got to keep getting up to the console to press its button.

I'd assume 8bit probably has no rumble?

It’s definitely telling when even the n64 cores on Mister aren’t perfect yet, probably explains why they’re taking their sweet time. Probably realizing they bit off a bit more then they could chew trying to replicate infamously complex hardware

EU.
I can list it on Wallapop.

Exactly. Up to the N64 its possible and there are open source cores already.

Sadly FPGA cores for more modern systems might take another decade to be made (IF a big and fast enough chip is ever made), so i already invested on a decent NUC(alike) for all my retro needs.
Anything PS3/xbox360/WiiU and newer i keep connected in my living room, so for now this setup will do (ps3 and 360 emulation are getting really good too so... its just a matter of time).
Yes i know Wii U emulation his very good but since i still have that one connected to a hdmi switch, for now it stays there :P

Yeah them claiming 100% compatibility was WAY TOO STRONG of a claim.

The N64 already has 100% compatibility with N64 games. The real benefit is HDMI, 4K, advanced filters negating the need for a Retrotink 4K, and wireless controllers.
