Including you, choose 4 more tempers to go with onto an ocean depth's trip to watch the Titanic.
NOT THE SHIP... THE MOVIE.

AND THE Y'ALL DIE LIKE BILLIONAIRES...

But hey, at least you got to recreate the steamy scene or had some shuckles drawing each other like one of your french girls.

Anyway, who are those special 4?

Does your submergible has a special name too?

Sadly, knowing big companies, here is what is going to happen when they are going to reach for the families
"Hello, this is the client support from the company who made the submarine your husband was in. In the name of the entire company, we sincerely appology and we would like to give to you and your family 100$... of gift card... that you can spend in our company whenever you want... within a year because it will expire after that... have a nice day"

not even that, the people signed a waiver, so the only person responsible is the ones who was on the submersible. so if families ask for retribution will get a complementary anti-stress ball

I don't know how it is going to happen

But here in Canada, if you sign a discharge, acknowledging the fact that you might die, and you die, the discharge means nothing
Apparently, companies are still doing that just to scare off family so that if one of theirs dies, they don't sue the company.
But in front of a judge, the document will be automatically discarded... in canada i mean

yeah, some countries have laws which invalidate any contract which is against the law or your resigning rights, but on USA that's no true, sometimes the "media" can make pressure and the companies will respond, but on the majority of cases nah.

The waiver only applies if the client has been informed of the potential dangers or if the death was due to not adhering to the company's instructions. If they weren't informed that the submarine was liable to implode, and if the deaths were due to gross negligence, the waiver is null and void.

Although all this is moot, the company owner and CEO is dead and the company is in a ton of debt already, so even if there's anyone left to be found liable, it's not like anyone is getting any compensation anyway.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
