ROM Hack Taiko no Tatsujin DS

I really wanna see Taiko no Tatsujin DS in English. I wanted to try to translate it myself but I didn't know how to. So, if someone gets to it, I can really help.
The english name was decided on "Taiko Drum Master: Touch and Play", the track listing is found here, and here's a FAQ explaining some of the functions in the game. I can help more with translating from Hirogana to English.
Also, I can try doing it myself if someone explains what files from the ROM file to modify.

Why does it need to be translated? The main game is extremely easy to figure out without Japanese, and the emails can be deciphered with a simple FAQ. I don't think anyone wants to take up this project just for the mails.

I could. Just tell me how to edit files I extracted with DSlazy.
EDIT: Okay, how about this? How do you extract a DATA.000 file? I'm pretty sure it has the text I need to change.

Sorry to double post, but I found a list of files that are possibly in that data.000 file. Is it possible to figure out the protection of an archive if you know what's in it?
