Gaming Taiko no Tatsujin buggy?

From a recent article by IGN:

"The problems with the Bandai Namco title seem to be a bit more serious. If you attempt to change the clothing of the in-game characters, the game will apparently freeze up. Bandai Namco is also offering a free replacement program, details about which are available at here."

Personally, I haven't had any problems with the game, and I grabbed it the day it was dumped. I wonder if perhaps it was a physical problem with some of the actual cards. Anyone experience any problems with the game?

Not for me. When I change the outfits, the character only flickers a bit, but there's no hanging.

Exact details are

1) You have 3 characters
2) All 3 characters are equipping both clothes and headgear

If you satisfy both conditions (1 AND 2) when trying to start the game
a) TnT cart will brick (no effect on your DS, it bricks the official game cart only. It won't brick flashcarts either, but will fail to load up -I think-)
b) Rebooting DS won't help

Nintendo is recalling all TnT products, but the service is only available in Japan. If you live outside of Japan and your imported TnT bricked, best bet is get your seller to exchange with a fixed version for you.

For people who didn't buy the game, just go find a bug fixed rom.

I won't get mine recalled, I'll just avoid bricking it by only making 2 characters. One for me one for my girlfriend.

1) Have less than 3 characters
2) Have 3 characters but have less than 3 characters equip both clothes and headgear

Hmm...we're using all three save slots here at my house -- I have one, my wife has one and my son has one -- and all of our characters are dressed up in various garb. No problems, knock on wood.

the problem I have w/ R4 is different...

after I unlocked the new song that you get after passing dojo level 1, the game freezes wheN i try to play it @.@ No problem with other songs though, just this particular song...
