So I'm probably gonna pick up a 5.3.2 Wii u tomorrow and want to know if it's possible to system transfer from my 5.5 console to a 5.3.2 one using the firmware spoofer.

I think you can contact Nintendo and tell them that you already gave your old Wii U away so you couldn't do a system transfer. Although I'm not sure if you could actually redownload all your stuff, so I wouldn't recommend that

I could do that ig, but I need the smash DLC for tournaments. Gah, looks like I'll have to wait for an eShop spoofer >.<

I did a similar thing just vice versa, my wiI u was 5.3.2 and I picked up a second one that was on 5.5. I took the 5.3.2 offline and called nintendo, they transfered my nnid to the new console and I re-downloaded all my e shop content on both vwii and wii u. All the games stayed on my 5.3.2 wii also since I never actually removed my nnid from 5.3.2 wii u. Now I can use crediare spoofer/updater and play online with both wii u.

Can you also move your savegames with a flashdrive? Did you test it?

I can move my saves and updates to my external media. Since the nnid is the same on both your consoles, will not work if you connect the flashdrive to another console???
I dont think so, because I think the HDD encryption is per console. Someone correct me if Im wrong

I will test it out, I one stay never tried cause I didn't care too much about the current save games I had. I'll report back here shortly with results.

Edit: I copied save games and content to a USB drive, but the drive is only readable in the wii U that formatted the drive. The format screen itself says it's only use able on this console, maybe one day we will get home brew to bypass thathe but for now it's not possible

We all should have free health, dental, vision care, and make the college kids pay for the schooling, f that college forgiveness plan our govt doing now, its really not fair for all others in the past that had to pay for they're schooling anyways (like me, with 2 kids I paid to send to college in the past)

I think we should outlaw healthcare entirely because the fact that people can get healthcare today is unfair to those in the past that couldn't

@Sicklyboy - the comparison would be forgiving all medical debt, not making healthcare illegal!
  • cearp @ cearp:
Although I still don't agree, medical debt is rarely a choice, whereas enrolling in university is certainly a choice

College costs, college loans, book prices, the entire thing is predatory, oft touted as essential to a successful life for my generation and the ones since, and completely unaffordable without putting you through an insane financial hardship for literal decades in many situations.
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Many of the same issues can be seen for the insanely predatory healthcare and health insurance system in the US

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
It's important for society to be healthy and educated. If those things can't happen because all of the institutions that prop up those industries make it unattainable for all but a small portion of society, then your society is largely going to be disease ridden, dying, and uneducated in very short order.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Issue is it's too rich of a coperation already with bad sugar diets causing diabetes and killing teeth a new set of teeth around 90k
  • cearp @ cearp:
I agree it's not easy for the average American, let alone the ones below that average. Free / cheaper healthcare is much more important I think than free university education.
Of course like @mthrnite said, why not both. But I doubt both will get solved at once, and surely healthcare is top priority.

If it's needed to keep you healthy it shouldn't cost you $90k. The fact that it does is an enormous problem

And if the concern is that "well we can't trust the government to intervene for this because the government can't do anything right and wastes tons of money" then holy shit push for a better government. I'm certainly trying to. Don't throw your hands up and go "we've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas"
