Yes i think a FAQ would be great.

Okay i think i never will now what wiipower made with his wads =(.


Ok tried it with IOS55.

Wadunpacker->change 00000001.app->wadpacker.

So far so good. I also got the right size! =) [1,86 MB (1.957.568 Bytes)]

Anyway always my sha1 is different.

The wadpacker has different options.

-sign Trucha sign Ticket and TMD
-T Trucha sign Ticket
-M Trucha sign TMD

So here are my results:

I think i will just test it out.

I will make an Wad Manager Disk and patch the IOS with the IOSPATCHER to 55. Maybe i will have sucees =)
So i will see if Trucha will work and the Disk.

This was a great experience. Now i know more about Wads, IOS etc.

It doesnt matter that i dont know my problem. I am just happy.

there isnt a guide because of future brisk risk, and because altering the system menu ios can cause a complete brick if anything goes wrong. There were two different guides made which were pulled because of the danger and because we had our only brick reports within 30 mins of each going up. If you want the files and read the thread, you would see all you have to do is look in the hacking faq for a link to the ios's needed, or request them in the thread and someone would send them to you. There is a installer being worked on now, once its been given a good testing and the region issues are cleared up a public descriptive faq/guide will appear. i know of two of three people who have them ready to go and are just waiting for the last goal to be finished and added in before releasing. This is why we keep telling everyone if you want to do this read the thread, if you want to do it before an installer is ready everyone wants to make sure you KNOW what you are doing and risking.

How about us poor suckers who already used CIOSCORP? Would this official version just install over it, if we used it?

Also, why couldn't we just do what the backup loaders did with 249 and do it with all of them to make them region free? Or does this region free thing have nothing to do with IOSs?

Hmm i found something interesting.
I unpacked my cIOS55 and Wiiplaster cIOS55BUGFIX.

I tested all sha1!

Some have differents:

0000000e.app
0000000100000037.tik
0000000100000037.tmd

So i replaced the files from the cIOS55BUGFIX with the one from IOS55.

I packed it with the new files and tada i got the same sha1!

Anyway i am unhappy about this way =(

Why have these files a different sha1?

When two IOS are different it's clear that the tmd and tik are different. Maybe one of the IOS55 you have has trucha integrated and the other doesn't.

Oh i am really sorry for that! I fixed it.

Maybe it is because of the option of the wadpacker? ( Trucha sign Ticket and TMD).
Okay i have to check that.

Anyway i dont know why the 0000000e.app has another sha1.

I really should make a video about that. So you can easy understand me.

Okay new info^^

I got sucessfully the same sha1!!

I just need the 0000000e.app from the cios55bugfix, replaced it with the old in the IOS55 and packed it with the option -sign.

I got a good cIOS55.wad with the same sha1!!!

Finally.

Now the cIOS55 is annoying me =)


May it can help to use another IOS. I will check this.

i installed cios corp with preloader hacks that where orginaly relesed with it , i would get a update in the disc channle even with my 1:1 copys and orignals.i uninstalled the preloader, got the new .hack file(most of u got it if not check page 93 on this thread or pm me) i enabled all BUT the health warrning,gc,and bmg .now this didnt fix my pal loading in ntsc disc channle but it got rid of that update in the disc channle. so for anyone with the same issue theres you fix.

i just noticed wii music dosent load but shows in disc channle but it load through gamma any ideas y that is? its a ntsc sys and ntsc game

Sounds like you didn't insatall all of the wads. The backup showing up in disc channel means IOS30 is now cIOS30. The game not running means the IOS that game uses is not dip patched. Wii Music uses IOS35 to run. Reinstall the cIOS35 wad and try again.

ios' a not region specific. as long as you don't install a foreign region system menu .wad you should be save.

I honestly don't think that this poses any threat at the moment.
At the beginning it did, but now it can actually save your wii, like with ironmask.
The problem is that everyone who's been here from the beginning, is still saying that its unsafe.

I still say it's "unsafe". If a guide will be released noobs will use and most important missuse it. There are a few things you really shouldn't do if you have CIOSCORP installed. But if there are lots of people who can't even say which cIOS they have, what will these people do if they get CIOSCORP installed? - Correct, they will NOT read the faq with the list of things not to do.
