Hi guys. Do you guys think it is safe for me to proceed with updating System FW using Daybreak, going from Kosmos to Atmosphere, and getting/updating sigpatches? I read on another thread that updating System FW through unofficial means is risky. Is that true? If yes, how risky is it? Also, I don't remember how I got Kosmos, but the Hekate ipl file says I do have it, and am not sure what it is. Is it CFW like Atmosphere. Have a few questions before proceeding:

- How do I know if I do have Kosmos installed?
- Should I delete Kosmos before going to Atmosphere? If yes, do I uninstall Kosmos through an Homebrew App? How do I delete Kosmos?
- What order should I do everything in?

I am still very noob to all of this. Any help appreciated :)

Hello again

Kosmos isn't a CFW, it just a file pack like SD Setup, Deepsea etc, daybreak replace the role of ChoidujourNX. Daybreak is developed by Team Reswitch, Atmosphere developers.

If you want to jump from fss0 to fusee build you can follow the link below
https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-hekate-chainload-vanilla-atmos.563255/

As suggested before update CFW files prior to update system firmware.

Thank you for your help! I read the link you sent me, but am still a little confused. Can you walk me through this and what steps I need to do/follow?

If you want to use vanilla atmosphere follow that guide, ain't that hard, put Atmosphere and Hekate files on your SD, and follow that guide on how to create a hekate.ipl. fusee patches can be grabbed from Itotaljustice github.

https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases/tag/0.19.5
https://github.com/CTCaer/hekate/releases/tag/v5.5.8
https://github.com/ITotalJustice/patches/releases/tag/12.1.0-0.19.5

Thank you so much! For the last link, do I need fusee.zip, or the hekate.zip?

Hi again. Um, is all of this somewhat easy to do? Also, should I be worried about the nogc thing after updating System FW? Most of my Switch games are on game cards, and I don't want to be locked out of using the gamecard slot. Also, what firmware is required for Skyward Sword? Should I just update to that required FW, or go all way to latest? Thoughts and help appreciated :)

That will depend if you use Hekate or fusee to launch Atmosphere. I also just recommend updating to whatever firmware the game requires. You can check with NSC_Builder.
