Homebrew Homebrew app sys-patch - sysmod that patches on boot

Darkest Dungeon's recent update 1.3.0 (v393216) fails to launch with latest sys-patch (instant "Could not start the software" screen). However it works with @bth 's atmosphere fork. Don't know enough to understand why this might be. I found some discussion in another forum and it seems a couple more recent games/updates (for example Looking for Fael update v131072) also seems to be affected.

Maybe I'm wrong but after digging it seems tied to a fix in Atmosphere libs that came AFTER the 1.11.2 release of June 16, so that's why BTH fork is working and the official release don't (since it was compiled from master branch).

So not related to sys-patch.

Seems tied to the fix related to the support for new zstd-zbic integration.

Without that patch the loader fails to load the games.

EDIT : CONFIRMED !

I just rebuild official atmosphere from source (master branch), and with current sys-patch everything is working fine now for those games.

AMS 1.11.2 (master branch compiled) + sys-patch 1.6.2.3 + Hekate 6.5.3 + FW 22.5.0

but there is no official release with the latest code, so you can use the instructions on the tutorial https://gbatemp.net/threads/building-atmosphere-on-windows-using-msys2.613446/ to build latest code from code. the instructions are for MSYS2 on Windows but can easy be extrapolated to linux or other systems.
