Hey guys, is sys-clk still the best solution for overclocking the Switch?
Im just wondering cause the last update of it was May 16 (via GitHub).

Yep, hasn't needed any updates afaik.

Well apart if support for next HOS version broke, there’s no feature that would release before the GUI does, hence why no updates.

Hello, I would like to know how often frequencies change... The ones in the config file are loaded and then change constantly to the stock ones. Is that a normal behavior? I read the log.txt and every second there are loaded back and forth. Previously it was discussed in this thread but didn't quite get it. Thanks in advance!

It’s normal. Sysclk lets games set the clocks to normal speeds, then sets the custom ones shortly afterwards. This is done so that boost mode works properly

It does wonders with ReverseNX homebrew!

But I have a question. I set CPU clocks to 1683 mhz and GPU to 921 Mhz. Am I overkilling it? I play docked mode in handheld. But as you know these clocks are beyond default docked clocks

Should I decrease these clocks to default docked mode clocks? Would my Switch damaged because of this clocks or is it just the battery concerning thing?

I set clocks only activate while charging via official charger though.

The Switch runs cool enough at max clocks.
As long as you use the official charger it should be fine.

As I said on Discord about the hb SunTheCourier did:

Dunno what it does and how extensively it is compatible. One thing is, it might be confusing for users to share this rn, as it currently has the same name as our upcoming manager (while it's now fixed, the link on this thread still has the original name). And finally, I understood it directly messes with the config files (normal since the current released sys-clk has no ipc). That's as much I now right now.

Another new thing: how sys-clk is currently restartable via this HB will be incompatible with the next version. If you do stop it that way (= process getting terminated without cleanup), you won't be able to start it again unless you reboot.

Else it's whatever as long as no one mistakes the official upcoming manager hb with it.

Yeah, the editor just modify the sys-clk ini file, I tried it and works pretty well, it list all the games installed on your Switch, included qlaunch lol (didn’t mess with obviously)

Sounds like it's a good workable solution for now, but will be obsoleted when you update.
I'd just started working on an .ini editing config app for sys-clk too when this one came out, so I guess I'm in the same boat. It's all good tho, most of the work I've put in so far is toward learning and adapting the UI code I'm using.

Trying to overclock the Homebrew Menu for PPSSPP, using the Homebrew Menu NSP.

; Overclock CPU when docked
; Overclock MEM to docked clocks when handheld
[0104444444441001]
docked_cpu=1224
handheld_charging_cpu=1224
handheld_mem=1600

Any modifications you might wanna suggest?
