Sites would be up again but if you are searching for an alternative, use atmosphere, it's not hard to setup, you can follow this guide (Don't do the steps that you have already done.)

Caveat to say that it is mostly an alternative. There are some things that you wont be able to do (i.e. use .xci without conversion, play from a hard drive, etc.)

Is that all? Atmosphère is definitely the better option. Besides the xci mounting or play games through a hdd...And it gets frequently updates. As good as nothing is compatible with sx os (i mean the custom sysmodules as an example). That's my opinion. I used sx os earlier myself. But switched to atmosphère.

If you are only interested in piracy: Stick with SX OS
If you are interested in piracy and homebrew: Atmosphere with patches
If you are only interested in Homebrew: Atmosphere

Any reasoning here? I ask because I can't find a reason to justify using SX OS.
Only CFW that supports .XCI Mounting from an external HDD without the need to install the game to Sysmemory / Sd-Card.
Some people think that they are saver that way. Also, having a full set of .xci files on a HDD for quick access is nice.

Edit: I, myself, don't have any CFW running. I am still waiting for a better Switch model to finaly hack my Day 1 Switch. I will then use Atmosphere because I am mostly interested in Homebrew (Retroarch).
With over 500€ worth of eShop Games linked to my account I can't risk loosing everything.

You'll be shit out of luck if you have a Mariko or Switch Lite. SX OS is the only CFW that can run on newer units.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for Atmospheré to be updated for Mariko. Can't use sysmodules on Mariko as they end up crashing.

For now.... BAM BAM BAAAAAAAM!

Hekate already supports it

I will allow myself to intrude this topic.

So in a short answer i can purchase the sx core solder it in to my V1 patched switch and just follow the normal atmosphere install guide like i already did with my previous unpatched switch?

It's pretty similar, just some small differences you can follow this guide.
