I just watched some videos on it and it seems awesome and the price is okay. Whats the general consensus? i am totally clueless with switch hacking and homebrew. and just saw yesterday that it was actually hacked now.

Are there dangers to hacking and running CFW on switch ( even perhaps loading game dumps, but mostly emulators)? I wouldnt be doing any actually game save editing or online stuff

I got mine in last week and I've been happy with it so far. You risk being banned just by using SX OS even if you aren't going online while using it.

Banned from what. Playing online with legit games or like not being able to use your system at all?

SX OS is just a normal payload meaning you need a PC or an android device to launch it. Whereas with the pro you can just stick in the dongle and you're good.

Banned from playing online, some people have reported that they can still access the eshop though.

The SX Loader bootloader is worth its weight in gold. Run payloads from SD card. Looks nice, supports touch. And the rest is pretty good too. Its reasonably priced. Whats not to like?

Fit an ESP / SAMD based device inside and you have a future-proof "chipped" switch. Just like the good old days.

sounds like a waste of money and waiting time for delivery -.- i dont believe there is no way to do offline launching payload like on ps4. TX seems to be very greedy :D

well to me paying $40 is worth it if its going to be well built, stable, and saves me a lot of head ache. I look back at all the time it took me to get A9LH working on my 3ds the first time and i never want to go through stuff like that again lol. im just trying to see how dangerous it is

If you just get sx os you need an Android phone and install nxloader. You need an otg usb 3.0 adapter, one came with my galaxy s8. Usb type C cable. You need some sort of jig or method to put your Switch into RCM mode, I modded my joycons eject button there is a tutorial on this site. It's actually quite easy.
