Hacking SX PRO Not Working?

Hi All,

I got my SX Pro and when I have the dongle connected to the Switch and the jig in the right rail, pressing volume up and power does nothing. Do I have to hold both for a long time? Also, I see the dongle came with a usb cable. Do I need to charge the dongle first? Just wondering what it could possibly be, thanks!

make sure you have boot.dat on your sd that is formatted exfat.

make sure console is fully powered off

insert rail to right side
insert dongle
press power and press (keep hold) of vol +

you should get the sx menu.

Put the data.dat on the root of your sd card and make sure your switch is completely turned off. Then hold volume + and press power (don't hold it just press it) keep holding volume + for about 5 seconds and then plug in the dongle. You'll know your switch is in rcm mode because when you hit power it wont turn on but just stay black.

Try charging the dongle. Turn your switch on normally with the dongle inserted and it’ll take a few seconds to charge. You should see a green light.

ok thanks all, looks like it worked when I did what @FearItSelf23 told me to do and plug in the dongle after about 5 seconds. I'm now backing up my NAND, thank you again!

I have the boot.dat file in the root and my card is fat32 formatted since my Switch is at 1.00.

if your switch is on 1.0 then boot the console with nothing attached and format sd card as EXFAT.

your console will need to do a firmware update to run the sd card (mine did), then i installed the SX.

its best to have it as EXFAT so you can put games that are over 4GB onto your SD.

I can confirm that SX will work on the latest firmware.

Damn a sad Switch 1.0 that will be updated .

That Switch will have a near future full softmod exploit without needing TX dongle or jigs anymore, after updating bye bye and welcome to having to use the dongle and the jig everytime you turn the console on from a power OFF state.

Actually I have to kinda agree to this. If you where on 4.x or 5.x by all means.
But a 1.0 well if you kept it of this long ... you could have probably left it off longer
But who knows I heared people talking about downgrading fw in the long run ...

You should have sold the 1.0 and got a new Switch. That probably would've gotten you the SX Pro for free.

install autorcm and you no longer need the jig.

DO NOT UPDATE A 1.0 SWITCH. I REPEAT DO NOT UPDATE IT. YOU WILL ALMOST DEFINITELY GET COLDBOOT.
