I can’t wait
That's been on the site for like two weeks

Well how you will update your games without being online?

In some recently released info banned consoles will not be able to essentially log into their NNID. So no eShop and no online play, but updates on Switch are like ps3 were you don't need an account or to be logged in to receive them, same with the news section, don't need to be logged into your Nintendo account. So you should be able to get updates even if your banned.

Nnid or Nintendo account?

Funny how everyone thinks that you'll be banned instantly when going online.
Look at the 3DS, they never banned users for playing back-ups online, even without a private header it would just block you from online untill you got a private header.
The only time people got banned for a back-up was when they went online with the leaked moon.cia, which was because it wasn't oficially released yet.

Well some people got banned because of random reasons, afaik the switch security is far better than the hobo security of he 3ds in the cdn part and verification, so we do not know, we probably wont be banned instantly but in a wave like always :P

Doesn’t matter your Switch needs no login or account to download system or game updates or the news.

And yet hear we are with Switch hacked 16 months after releases. Nintendo always blows it. DS hacked fast, 3DS about 3yrs, Wii damned fast, WiiU was hacked a lot earlier than it was released, and now Switch very ealrly in its life. Thrilling to me because I have a life long love of modding shit.

Honestly, I think piracy in the first world markets is really small potatoes now. People are too lazy and games are too plentiful and for cheap. In the US games are constantky on sale at retail and used is plentiful and cheap in any decent sized town. EShops offer tons of free, demo, subscription content. There is just not that much incentive to mod or pirate in the Western hemi. All other more economically chalenged parts of the world its much bigger numbers wise because the cost and availabilituy of software.

So in its major markets of Jap, US, EU, UK I doubt hacked Switch adds up to more than 2-3% of the installed userbase.

To be fair, the current exploit everyone is using is based on the Tegra X1 chip manufactured by Nvidia so it is not entirely Nintendo's fault (you can argue whether or not they could have seen it coming)

Being cheap can also be exploited.

Having my SX OS Since ~20-22 Hours and play a lot of games.
I Updated now 6-7 Games and i have still access to E-shop.
I have no idea if I can still play online but I could try Mario Kart 8

Everyone that bought SX OS and SX PRO should be alert of this cause if Nintendo starts noticing shit that is unfamiliar when the Switch is online using the SX OS or SX PRO, it can cause a huge ban wave and they might attack the resellers.
Good. Anyone dumb enough to get banned shouldn't be hacking their Switch in the first place

Maybe some people dont care about being banned online?
I wrote that wrong, I more so meant for those wanting to use online features as well. I'm not aware of people getting banned just for installing hbmenu or sx os, it's those going online with xci files installed on there system thinking they are safe, my message was meant for those people

Did you try it? I want to get some games and update them, but idk if that would cause any trouble (It looks like it wont).

So can you play online with legit games?

This thread needs a reboot and also, ppl need to stay on subject (if a ban has been issued) because this thread turned out to be a big whole debate of who's wrong and who's right... Not of much help to the community tbh. Not hating, just stating facts. It failed at what it aimed to do which was a good idea in the first place.
