Hacking Question SX OS NSP installer major question (possible tutorial)

So I did that. Got an NSP from a source that I got a lot of my XCI's from. But when I installed that NSP I got the "You need to purchase this software" error...

have you tried to download the nsp directly from the freeshop and installed it to the ineternal storage ?
wich firmware version do you have .
I have the latest one installed

I have not. I am on the latest FW. Im assuming the NSP was just not set up correctly. Ill try using freeshop tonight!

Is there a way to verify whether or not an update has applied properly? example being octopath, i don't see anywhere on title or menu that states the current version of game

In the OS, just hit PLUS on the game and it will tell you the version on the top.

Question though. Why not just update online from the console? Are you trying to stay off the grid?

Works fine for me. They have new certs. User donated. So until they can ban certs instantly we are still good.

Thanks, great to know this. I’m very new to this all - are certs applied automatically? Or do we need to find them and apply them first?

Fixed. Was a bad dump. Have a load of eshop backups working great!

Some come demo's but 98% don't. Thanks all!
