So I am in the boat that I wanted to wait until SX added support for NSP.

When I use SX os to install an NSP I get the license error when trying to launch it from the menu.

Now I know there must be something that needs to be done to the NSP to get it to work with my console but every tutorial has steps needed to launch and install BEFORE SX 1.4 came out.....

Is there, or can someone super quickly explain what needs to be done provided you have never installed an NSP before and are only using SX 1.4?

Thanks!!

Download NSP with CDNSP, put on SD card, install from SXOS. That's it. You are probably better off redownloading a new NSP.

Make sure you're in SX mode when you try to play the game, you can't play it in OFW.

If you are booted into SX 1.4 you shouldn't have a problem installing or running nsp/nca files.

All you need to do is copy the files to the root of the SD card. Boot up SX OS 1.4. Go to Albums, go to Installer and have fun.

Do you have an SX license?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also depends on your console firmware and the nsps required firmware

this actually happen to me too
I've installed 3 DLC from Xenoblade 2 without warning using DevMenu and it shows in game

yesterday I installed another DLC using SX OS menu but when launching the game, it shows warning some DLC didn't have license and may not be applied to game

too bad there's so much DLC in game, I can't confirm the new one added or not to the in game menu.

Yeah see that it not working for me at all.

I throw the NSP on the root. Install it with the SX installer. Try to launch it and I get the error "you must purchase this software"

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Where did you get the files from?
Do you have a SX OS license or are you trying to do this with an unactivated version?

Yes I have a SX license. I can play XCI's perfectly fine. Every single one mounts and works perfectly. Homebrew also works. Maybe its a bad NSP?

Have you tried other nsp's?
I just installed four nsp's with this, that I grabbed myself from CDN and they all installed fine.

This idea is if you dont minf beeing ban , i am ban and its the best because i dont have to worry about bans anymore :-) aaand i dont like playing online .
Download Freeshop to the sd and enter freeshop from the switch , select wich nsp game you want to download and install ,, and thats all !!!

Since there's tinfoil and CDN. About a week or so. FreeshopNX is what it's called if I'm not mistaken. Basically does the same as the CDNSP guis but directly on console.
Not sure how well it's maintained tho, if you have to replace certs manually or if it gets updates as often as the usual windows versions.

WOW!! Ok so what are the 2 best option for NSP's right now? (dont care about ban)

CDN is the best one on PC? (there is a gui version as well right?)
FreeshopNX for the switch?

Getting NSP's from either should be able to install correct? Im assuming the NSP I got was a bad dump of sorts.

FreeshopNX for the switch is the best option for me that i am already ban ,,, but also thers going to be dlc updates and games that you are not going to find there because they dont update their base very often .
For those missing just google the NSP game dlc or update that you want , and install those on the microsd card .

So I did that. Got an NSP from a source that I got a lot of my XCI's from. But when I installed that NSP I got the "You need to purchase this software" error...
