Hello. I have had sx os for about a year and I only used it the first week I got it. After that week, I stopped using the cfw and went back to ofw, and surprisingly, after a year, I havn’t been banned. However, the problem I have now is the sx os license, cause as you know, it “attaches” the license you purchase to your console fingerprint, and now i want to completely get rid of it. Is there any way to just simply “detach” or “deactivate” this license, I’m just looking to dispose of it so my switch is no longer at all associated with the cfw, cause even when im in ofw, the license is still linked to my console and I don’t want that at all! Does anyone know any methods of deactivating this license without having to do a risky nand restore or something, I really just want to get rid of all of it.

Nand restore is the only way to rid your console of it

you used sxos for 1 week and you're surprised you weren't banned? I've been using it for 2 years on 2 consoles and haven't been banned... There's nothing you need to deactivate. If you don't want to use it just stop and delete any cfw related files off your sd card. sxos doesn't install anything to your switch's internal memory.

While that's true, If I ever wanted to sell my switch or something like that, wouldn't the console still be linked to the SX OS license?

that only matters if you're planning to use your sxos license on another console which obviously you can't because the license is looking for a specific fingerprint id. it doesn't have anything to do with the switch that's going to be on official firmware.

Ok, I think i'm going to do a clean nand restore just to wipe it completely, it's risky but the worst that can happen is not being able to use switch online. thanks for the info tho :)

you still don't get it. A nand restore has nothing to do with sxos license being tied to your switch's fingerprint. the license will always be tied to that specific switch id. sxos doesn't write anything to nand. but if it makes you feel better...

But if its a clean nand, doesn't that mean sx os license would've never been linked since this was before the cfw even ever happened? I know I'm probably asking stupid stuff, and I might seem a bit crazy when saying this, but even though the license never actually affects the switch firmware, it still stresses me out a bit because of the fact it's still linked to SX OS in some way, so I'm willing to do anything that may work.

Your console fingerprint won't change after a NAND restore so SX OS will still work with your console, Team Xecuter links your Switch though the license.dat file on their servers. No part of SX OS (beside auto-RCM if you want to be pedantic) touches your NAND. The simple way is to just format your SD card. The only linking going on is though SX OS (SD card) and TX (webserver you have no control over).

Could I request xecuter to revoke my license

You can try, but they are not known to have the best customer support when it comes to non working codes, let alone digging though their severs to satiate your paranoia. If they do respond to you and tell you they actually did remove your license I would almost guarantee that they didn't do it, but if them telling you they did gives you piece of mind then by all means go for it.

k i'll try, i just can't ignore that my switch is still linked with cfw in some way still

Your Switch isn't linked to any CFW, only a license.bat file is on a sever Nintendo can't touch and would only work if you put both that and SX OS back on your SD card yourself. As far as Nintendo is concerned (seeing as you haven't been banned in such a long time) your Switch is clean. Just delete the files and get on with Rocking The Switch™.

Would there be any Issues with trying to have both SX OS and AMS on the same MicroSD? Or would it be better to get separate Cards?

K then I will try to get that license.bat tf out

Just delete it of your SD card and it's done, you're reading way too far into this

You can absolutely do both, I boot Kosmos by holding down the plus button when RCM booting with my SX Pro and use the payload selection screen.

So just need TegraRCM GUI with the proper Payload to booth which one you are wanting? Cool :D . Need a better Cheat Engine than EdiZon. Least with SX OS, I could do Unknown Searches better. JNoexs shows me different Addresses and incorrect Results for Pointers.

TableMan420 - you don't seem to be getting it - but simply delete the boot.dat from your SD card to not use the licence.

you cannot get a refund or change yout SX OS licence to work on another switch, so view it as money spent and money long gone.

there is nothing you need to do to your switch.

Even if you sell your switch and someone wants to use it to then buy their own SX OS licence it should be ok.. but frankly if you're going to sell a switch with a working SX OS licence it's worth more than selling it just as a hackable switch.. ie: the hacking work is already done.

Keep in mind, since you booted OFW your fuses are burned and if you reflash your NAND your system won't boot anymore, you'll need to boot CFW to run chouj and update your firmware... which will just put cfw/homebrew flags back into your system. It's probably easier to mount with hacdisktool and wipe emmc partitions to force a reinitialization-- or just do like others suggested and don't worry about it at all.
