Hacking Question SX OS Activation by Code - Driving me nuts!

Hello!

I bought a switch and an SX Pro and activated the SX OS via the website by upload the request dat file and download the license dat file - everything was cool. Then I bricked my switch....

Now I have a new switch (unpatched) and I have bought a new SX OS License. As I understand it I should be able to use my old dongle with the new switch and the new license - however - when I boot the new switch into SX OS it tells me the license needs to be activated but i don't see the option to enter my serial for the new OS I purchased.

Pleas help this is driving me crazy.

because the licence of the old one is on the dongol
here is a quick work around.

which i did and worked.

just inject the first time using any other loader and activate then use your dongol later.

Yeah, he's saying don't use the dongle until it's activated. Use your pc or phone

OK so i tried this. I used the loader bin file from executer and targrcngui it said it had injected successfully but the switch never booted to sx os.

Boot up Hekate if you have problem setting up AutoRCM.

hI, I'm just trying to inject sx os via the pc so I can register my license. Auto rcm isn't an issue i have the pro jig...

hi,

try this if you like, each is a separate step to follow:

if you have the licence.dat or licence-request.dat on your SD card, back them up to your PC and then delete them from the SD card.
just have the boot.dat on the SD card.
inject the payload from PC using tegrasmash and boot into SX OS
SX OS should now say it has no licence and generate a licence-request.dat file on the SD card.
go to the sx.executor site and upload the licence-request.dat file
then type in the code for the licence you were given.
you should now download a licence.dat file - copy this to your SD card and try booting again using tegrasmash on the PC - if that works, then try the sx os dongle and see if that boots successfully.

Thanks but my issue is i can't get sx os to boot from the pc injection.

im not sure whats causing this crazy thing.

your last option, boot with the sx pro and then when it says not activated, it asks for a manual key.
just connect to wifi and activate it through the servers.

hmm if you can't boot from the PC injection then that is an issue that needs to be solved first..

out of curiosity - what OFW is your new switch and what format is the SD card? have you tried FAT32 (if it is currently exfat)?
have you tried SX OS 2.5.3 as well as 2.6.1 boot.dat files?

if you have another spare SD Card then the reason people are suggesting hekate is just to establish can your new switch boot CFW at all.. once it is tested that it can, then we can try to help narrow down why its not working with sx os.

Hi,
Im firmware is 7.0.1. SD is Exfat. I can boot using the pro dongle to either 2.5.3 or 2.6.1. I will try fat32.
