I've already installed quiet few sx core/lite modchips my own, but im having issue with 2 sx core modchips.. that a friend of mine bought from a local reseller.. its blinking blue at first, then after a while a solid red light. i can confirm that the ribbon is soldered correctly on the APU, becoz it's working fine if i swap my sx core modchip.. and its booting ok to sx os. (using the same nintendo switch unit btw). also installed the ribbon cable carefully. could this be a factory defect? anyone experience the same issue. blinking blue then solid redlight?? weird cause when i try to use my other two modchips it works.

anyone having the same issue?

If you are able to swap the chip and use the same ribbon(s) and the new chip works, then you already answered your own question.

Check the non working chip for any solder splash.
