When reboot to payload will it replace the normal reboot function.
So any application that wants to reboot does so. Also some root applications give a function to reboot to TWRP, will that also work?
And will rebooting to boot loader also work, so if we have auto boot on we can boot to hekate and change sd cards there.

is a great gesture app to replace nav bar functions, if you choose to remove it to get fullscreen apps (without borders). Its mentioned in the PS4 streaming thread on xda, but it warrants another mention. :)

If you use energy savings mode often (to slow down the annoying fan), a way to get rid of the red status bar is to always activate immersive mode (have it disappear unless you swipe down from the top). You can do that with this xposed app: https://repo.xposed.info/module/fr.merams.r.deepscreenoreo

Play time in Drastic with extrem energy savings mode on, and middle to low brightness is 7 hours for one full battery charge, btw.

Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney looks really good in Drastic with hires 3d mode and HQ2X filtering enabled. :)

If you play Drastic for long stretches of time (use extreme energy savings mode (if emulation is fast enough)) and) map the A button to Y on the controller its in an easier position for your thumb to reach, when using the switchflip frame. Its less tiring that way. :)

I mean I know Drastic is great, but doesn't Phoenix Wright have a full HD Android release? Why not just play that instead? I've been enjoying the HD Layton releases that I completely forgot existed lol, Pandora's Box only came out last month, they play great!

Yes it has, they "beautified" the sprites choosing to redraw them all - and in the process, they lost all their flair. I started to play the rerelease, and I quickly stopped because of it.

Here is the difference.

Ah yeah, I can kinda see where you're coming from. For what it's worth, Layton is pretty by the books as a HD port goes, so I really do recommend it.

We can accept that ultra low-resolution Game Boy Advance graphics make no sense on modern HD consoles but the new visuals seem to have been created by tracing over the old sprites by hand, which robs them of a lot of their original charm. And as we said, charm is really what Ace Attorney is all about.

Hey can anyone help, I can flash my sd card, but when i go to install gapps/shieldifer and such, I have to mount the system and sd card but it says 0MB for both and doesnt let me mount, so I cant get past this stage... I'm using a 128gb sd card with the 128gb rom thing.

Have you used etcher to flash?
If not - do so.

Have you watched videos of the process? (mounting the partitions, selecting the packages to flash.)
If not - do so.

Have you redownloaded stuff? (just for good measure. :) )

Have you bought a fake sdcard? (ebay?)

You can test with fakeflashtest (quick test):
https://www.raymond.cc/blog/test-an...b-flash-drives-bought-from-ebay-with-h2testw/
(Link to download is in the article, but since the download site of fakeflashtest isnt the most easy to navigate, I link this first to give you an inkling what program you are looking for first... ;))

fakeflashtest is faster than similar programs in the field (different method), so its recommended to be used with high capacity cards/drives.

Cleaning up the interface tips.

(Aside from hiding the nav bar, and hiding the notification bar (always on immersive mode), and then installing a gesture app which brings nav bar functionality back - which already is mentioned in here -)

Setting Text size and System size (effectively dpi) to one higher in the normal Android settings works well.

Also if you are using the google launcher (GNL), you might want to turn off the news section on the left (longpress on an empty space on the home screen, then disable from settings there).

And if you want to hide certain apps from the google launcher (can still be opened/accessed via a search), you can use this xposed module:
https://repo.xposed.info/module/com.metris.xposed.gnlapphider

Of course any third party launcher usually has this functionality as well.

If you flashed a none lite version of Gapps and are now regretting your decision - you can always freeze apps (remove them from being active in the system at all) using Titanium Backup (in case you dont own it yet - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup Buy it - its the one android app that was worth 1000 times, every penny paid). You might even be able to do that in stock settings now.

Didn't try that with google system level apps though. :)

Be aware that freezing _necessary_ system level apps can result in bootloops.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also Moonlight (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.limelight) is reported to work better (less lag) for PC game streaming with Nvidia Experience, than the native Nvidia Shield client. Havent tested it yet.

Only for Nvidia cards.

720p mode is a godsend, its surprisingly clearer and android interface runs faster. Definitely recommended if you aren't docking a whole lot, although docking still works the output is just upscaled from 720 to 1080. See the XDA thread for a custom boot.img. (need to re-apply magisk.zip after flashing it to boot partition if you want root.)

So I checked it and formatted it and its 119gb instead of the 128gb, is this the issue? Kinda annoying on the sd card companys part considering it definitely isnt a fake as i bought it from jb hi fi (trusted store where i live)

No storage medium is the advertised size. For example my sd card is 200gb but in reality it's about 187gb.

Indeed it's a huge improvement. You need to set the UI size to the smallest setting to get the soft buttons working in portrait again, but you can then increase the text size to compensate. With the 720p fix, really the only things this port is lacking are:
- Auto-rotation (not a big deal, use RotatioControl to set manually)
- Auto-brightness (again, not a big deal)
- Native 'f.lux' white point shifting (forget what the Android setting is called, but it doesn't work for whatever reason)
- Direct wired connection to the joycons (would be nice but not necessary)
- Proper deep sleep mode (you really need to hard shut down when not using)
- Refined touch-screen sensitivity (it's not nearly as nice as it is in Horizon, seems to be too sensitive)
