As some may know this exists:

    http://switchemu.org

Which is obviously fake, their github only contains a readme and it all just is a complete laugh, but why? Why does it exist?

And does it contain malware? who would fall for this...

If you know it's fake, why post it?

This exists because, sometimes, people on the Internet like to lie just to piss people off

Because it's farming clicks to their ads

No, because there's no actual download. You'll be prompted to fill out some survey on some site, then left hanging.

    Stupid people.

And so people can come out with a "holier than thou" attitude for someone not being technologically inclined enough to to see through these scams.

It's just a ploy so some advertising company can pay them for leads by filling out a survey for a fake download. That's all it is.

The only purpose of their GitHub is a weak attempt to make it look a little more authentic. Anyone into the 3DS homebrew scene is at least somewhat familiar with downloading releases from GitHub.

I hate and love the people who make these shit sites. They are scumbags who need to get a fucking life and a real job, but I do need to thank them for the joy and the laughter they give me. This guy setup a GitHub repo for it containing nothing but the readme and a "changelog". It's linked from the main site as an "issue tracker".
The real 10/10 :ok_hand: is when you check the commits. He's literally just adding / removing random strings to make it look like he's been committing, such as "lol haha".

And OP, no, these people are not even skilled enough to write malware. It's just surveys that lead to absolutely nothing. These sites are made by the biggest low life talent-less morons you can imagine :P

Domain squatting and people being extremely dumb and willing to believe anything.
Nothing else to say about it.

I bet when an actual Switch emulator comes out it will have a much better name then just switchemu, just like cemu isn't called wiiuemu or wiiumu or something

    Switchulator ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

As everyone has said, scams. I could see someone registering the name as a place holder for future emu, but yeah if they are claiming something is available now, its a scam.
