Hi,

I recently modded a switch v1, everything was working fine but suddenly it turned off, now when I try to turn it on the screen stays black with only the backlight, if I turn it back off and turn it back on again the backlight doesn't even start until I disconnect the battery.

I thought it was a problem with the soldering on the apu, in fact testing the resistance of it gives me a measurement of 0.6 ohms on both sides while at the initially it was 0.6 on one side and 30 on the other side. I then thought the caps were gone so I removed and replaced them but I get the same readings.

Has anyone had the same problem? is the apu gone? I welcome any suggestions or critics and I admit that I am quite novice in these things.

Thanks

Do you have AutoRCM on? If so that's normal. You just send the payload via TegraRCM to activate it. There's no persistent mod for v1 Switch only softmod. (unless you installed a modchip, then it's a different issue) With softmod every time you reboot you turn it on you'll get black screen and must send payload to get it to the main menu.

Hold down power button for 30 seconds
Then press power button for 1 second
Connect usb type-c cable to computer and Switch
Send payload via TegraRCM

If you can't send payload you may need to charge the battery first. Also TegraRCM can install the Switch drivers to your computer which is necessary.

The problem occurred after installing a picofly modchip, everything was working fine then while playing the console turned itself off.
