Hi All,

First time installing cfw on switch, so definitely a noob. When I try to inject hekate or fusee-primary from TegraRcmGui the screen just remains black. Tegra says the payload was injected successfully (Out file below) but the switch screen remains black. I can still boot into OF after restarting out of RCM but I would really like to get this working as I would love to utilize the cfw features.

Details:
1. Running MacOS but doing everything through Parallels desktop with Windows 10
2. Installed libusbk via zadig and installed the driver to apx (so I know windows is detecting my device; it shows up in device manager under the libusbk tree as well)
3. Tried with multiple USB-C to USB-A cables

Tegra log:
No RCM device detected

Invoking TegraRcmSmash.exe with args : "\\Mac\Home\Downloads\Switch\fusee-primary.bin"

Please Help!! Appreciated in advance.

OK you have to tell us the following:

1. Switch Firmware version
2. Version of payload you are trying to load

Next did you:

1. Extract the required files (hekate/atmosphere/kosmos) to the sd card

I would at least try to use Hekate + atmostphere since at least that one has a GUI after being sent via tegrarcm

Thanks for the quick reply.

1. Switch firmware: 9.1.0
2. Hekate is 5.1.1 and Fusee-primary I'm not sure; I got it from the latest version of atmospheres page

Image of sd card root contents attached (I think I have it right but not positive)

Thanks

Are you sure your system isn't patched or maybe you have the wrong payload running.

I suggest you buy a RCM Loader

I'm guessing a patched Switch. :( Read this > https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-defin...atched-or-not-purchases-after-07-2018.512018/

edit: read the posts #25, and #29-32. I think you still have a chance your Switch is un-patched. You'll have to find a real windows computer, or just another way of pushing a payload, like your phone or something.
It’s definitely unpatched. If it was patched they’d get
Smashed the stack with a 0x0000 byte SETUP request!
But they got
Smashed the stack with a 0x0002 byte SETUP request!

Thanks for all the quick replies, so im guessing i definitely need a windows cpu?

Or get an RCM dongle, since it looks like your Switch is not patched. It's a good investment. They're inexpensive, and very practical. RCM Loader One is usually recommended, but you can also get the recently released Dragon Injector, which seems very nice.

I got the same error trying to get tegra to work on my mac via parallels. Works fine when I inject on my (non-emulated) PC or android phone, so seems like specifically an issue with using mac/parallels
