So I have these lines on my switch and does anyone know why this happened? Like is this a faulty screen, or could it be just the tempered glass causing it?

Hmm then the famous Lakka burn in issues don't apply to you :/ I would assume you were unlucky and if you have warranty you may be able to get a replacement (which may also fix the current exploits though...)

Looks fake imo.
Why are two lines going into the border around the screen?

Assuming its real, it could be the screen breaking from the inside. Did you ever drop the system, or deal a fairly large amount of force to it?
Considering the lines going into the border, it could be the glass.
just to note, I dont know much about screens

Man I wish it was fake, but I haven’t dropped it ever and I’m always taking care of it. I’m highkey triggered

Guess I have to take your word for it. I doubt anyone is stupid enough to fake it anyway.
Was it in the dock at the time you found these? Maybe your dock is bent and applying pressure to the screen.

Seeing as the top and bottom lines pretty much line up I'm willing to bet it's your dock bending the console and affecting the screen. Everyone that leaves it in the dock will get the bend (go look for yourself) but it usually isn't to the degree that it distorts the screen. Perhaps it's the combination of bending and screen protector?

Must be, I’ll look for a 3rd party dock now

If you want a nice little portable TV adapter that actually works you might want to check the MoKo adapter out... it works just like the dock. I bring it on the road with me. It's also only about $30, 1/3 of the cost of an official dock. Don't confuse this one with the other 3rd party docks that fried some Switches, that was another one.

check your console bend on a straight surface to see if its bend or not and if its a lot or little...

It even looks a bit like a very slight burn-in, we can't really get much from the picture.

In case this is still relevant to anyone, I have found the solution. The problem with it was that I had a case on the switch and it was only in the dock at all times. After like two days with no case, the screen is back to normal!!
