switch saying no bin with new blank sd card

hey there so I bought a switch used and it was modded to the point that it would not load games so I decided to take that sd card out and use a new one but when I put the new one in it says no bin. Can someone please help me before I get pissed that I wasted my money?

Posting a picture of what screen you see would help.

If it has an SXOS/HWFly/Picofly, you need to install some data on your SD card.
Else it will show that error message.
SXOS has its own boot.dat (or something like that). There are some threads on how to get/build that dat file.
HWFly and PicoFly modchips need Hekate (and Atmosphere to boot into CFW after starting up).
