Switch Repair, not charging/error 2101-0001

Picked up a broken V2 in decent shape for a reasonable price. Drawing only 5v .08A on one side of the USB port. Gave the battery a charge and it booted with the 2101-0001 error that sends it to a reboot loop. Found one capacitor shorted to ground near the M92T36. Looks like it connects to pin 29. Have a USB C breakout board on order to verify its status. Will likely source some capacitors and a spare M92T36. What else should I check?

Start by checking the capacitor around the M29 for shorts.
If you remove the ones with a short and still have a short, the M29 has likely also failed.

Yes it was the M92. Pulled it and the short went away. Replaced it and all was well.
