Hello everyone,
I purchased a Nintendo Switch OLED that is false charging (shows charging symbol but does not really charge)
I found some caps shorted next to BQ24193 so I replaced it and now the shorts are gone but it is still not charging.
I also found some shorts to ground that are not supposed to be shorted according to the readings I’ve got from a V2 switch.

Does anyone know the values of those resistors marked yellow? Also I marked in red the places where I found shorts to ground (TS1 and TS2 pins on the BQ chip)

Could the false charging issue be caused by that?

Thank you in advance!

Not an OLED but I think you can follow the traces :

Check what thet battery info of Hekate says.
If you get no information, then the communication lines between the BQ and CPU might be damaged or you might be missing a resistor near your cpu shield.

Check that your battery has a charge of at least 2V.
If it is less, then it is just dead and maybe causing a short. (this can have damaged your BQ chip or that 10uF capacitor)

Check that 10uF capacitor, If this is broken, charging might also be affected because the charging voltage fluctuates too much.

Check that your BAT pin has 4.2v when the Switch says it is charging.
When not charging, it should be around 3v (might be lower if the battery is draining)

Check that you have continuity between the BAT pin and the battery connector,
Check that the battery cable doesn't have any damage.
The cable can be damaged if it gets stuck between the casing.

If it is something like 3.0v while the Switch says it is charging then it might be the BQ chip.
But only replace it after checking everything else.

Good luck!
