Want to set up emuMMC on a brand new OLED switch.
What is the best kind of emuMMC to make: SD card partition or sd card files?
On a FAT32 card or exfat?

You're probably better off with partition-based, because while file-based is just as good performance-wise, it's susceptible to filesystem corruption (if something happens with the fat32 partition or something, the emummc is stored as files there and could get affected.)

If it's a separate partition, then your fat32 filesystem on the other partition could break, but it's not going to affect emummc (unless your entire card goes bad, in which case you're SOL either way.)

File based is slightly slower. Might not make much of a perceivable difference though.
On exFAT file based is obviously a horrible idea because you're adding to the already high risk of corruption and when corruption inevitably does happen it'll destroy your emuNAND along with it but on FAT32 it's much less dangerous but still why take the risk?

CTCaer fixed file-based speeds long ago. Your sd card is as fast as it is, and either way won't make it any faster. File-based is much easier to backup and restore, however.

I'm going with SD Files for my ACNH Switch, already did a SD Partition on my Mariko. Also should note that the ACNH has a newer V5 chip with V2 cable installed, while the Mariko has a V4 Chip and V1 cable
