The sdcard is the weakest link of the Switch. Swapping them in and out will eventually break the reader. Readers are cheap so no big deal but it's a pain if you can avoid it.

What are you looking to do? Their might be an alternative solution...
I was just thinking about having more games on hand but it's not essential and I would rather not have to keep replacing parts

bingo.

A lot of us chase that dragon. ;-)

Save up for a bigger SDCard.

I run a 400G and it’s waaaaayyyy more than I could ever play.

It only takes a few minutes to delete a game you’ve completed and download a new one.

You can store extra games you might want to swap out on a USBC thumb drive for on-the-go installation if you like.

No tinfoil disabling the emummc did sounds like a stretch.

Ok, that's good to hear.

Here's the ini, it's the one they got in the rentry guide
Code:
[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=3
backlight=100
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=0
bootprotect=0

[Atmosphere CFW]
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[Stock SysNAND]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
stock=1
emummc_force_disable=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_switch.bmp
hekate ini looks fine tbh. but could add this for shits n gigs

Code:
[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=3
backlight=100
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=0
bootprotect=0

[Atmosphere CFW]
emupath=emuMMC/RAW1
emummcforce=1
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[Stock SysNAND]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
stock=1
emummc_force_disable=1

Thnx, I'm still really confused how it managed to disable the emummc but it's only happened once so far and since no one seems to know about that part I'll probably just start over from scratch with my sd card if it happens again

Sounds like you might have been down rev quite a bit. You shouldn’t have any references to fusee-secondary in 1.x.x. You should be using fusee.bin rather than fusee-primary. There are a few changes you will need to tweak.

Take a look here:
https://rentry.org/MigrateToAtmosphere1_0_0

e: you should also update you’re ban protection to make use of exosphere and dns:mitm

So I'm liking the idea of installing games via a USB c dongle, how do I dump my games to my pc with all updates so I can put them on a thumb drive and install on the go

NXDumpTool will dump your games to your SDCard for you. Then it’s just a matter of moving them.

Here’s the release thread w/ more details:

Tinwoo can easily install from USB

Do I need to do a fresh install if I want to install emuNAND? I already have sysNAND that install on it months ago.

No, emuMMC can be setup at anytime and anywhere as long as you have the space on the SD card to make it.
I think I had the same problem with smash. Someone told me to soft reset switch. Something like that. U have to hold some buttons for some time. And after that smash worked perfectly.
Its called maintenance mode and you enter it by holding volume - and + when turning the console on.

Hey Im trying to extract the demon voice audio files from SMTV although they seem to be stuck in the .pak.
The audio thasts extracted outside the .pak only contains audio from main characters and cutscenes, not a single demonvoice line. I found the demon voice files in the .pak but theyre all uassets and I have failed completely at managing to scan them or extract audio from them. Any help or someone else extracted the demon voices?

Have two switch lites I am looking to install some hwfly chips into. There are so many versions I am not sure what ones to get. Not sure if there is a major resources I am missing on these or what. Any link would be appreciated.

I’ve had good success with Hwfly Sales Store on Aliexpress.

You need the 4.1 Lite kit:

Switch, first revision, latest Atmo, no auto RCM turned on - I never turn off the system, but yesterday I've forgotten to charge it and today it won't turn on. Left it to charge for now, but so far it doesn't even show the charging icon. Should I be worried, or let it just sit for a while?

Nope. Just let it charge. On low charge switch do not display charging icon.

I'm pretty new to this and have a modding related question.

I have an emunand (or emummc, dont know the difference) set up, and I have a shitload of .nsp games installed through tinfoil. I've gone through all the safety methods as detailed in the guide. I was wondering if I could play smash online through the base sysnand, I own the game so would I get banned if I delete the .nsp version and dlc I dont own, and download it from the eshop legitimately? And do I have to delete the save file too since it's probably tangled with all the dlc data? Or can I just never be online with the sysnand when I have any .nsp game installed? And finally if all of those conditions work out, can I download an community save file so I dont need to unlock all the fighters manually again?

You would get banned, if your NAND isn't clean meaning pirated games.

@Hayato213 is right…deleting games wont work and your logs will likely show tracks. You have to have never installed anything dirty (NSP/XCI) on your Sysnand in order to safely go online with it.

If you’ve only installed your dirt on your Emunand, you’re fine on your Sysnand and there’s no need to delete anything.

Cheating in Online games can definitely get you banned…
