I might be a bit confused over wording, but what is the source for tinfoil cheats? I noticed elsewhere it says cheatslips, but the cheat thread here says it can be updated through aioupdater (this is how I currently update the cheat database for tinfoil)

Am I already using the gbatemp cheat database and I just got confused? Or is there a way to change it if I’m not? The latest database number was 09022022, I believe, which is the same as gbatemp.

Switch games are differentiated based upon their title ID. There are a few games that exist that have the same name but different title IDs which occur for games released in different regions so they will usually have their own updates and DLC to go with that region. There is no way to modify the title ID of a game.

What would happen if someone copied the game's installation folder in /Nintendo/Contents/whatever and just named it differently? Would the copied game not even appear in the Home Menu, or would it appear but not launch? Could it be uninstalled from the HOS data management menu? Ooh, what if you actually used a valid TitleID but from a completely different game as the new folder name? My money is on not even showing up.

I can test it myself in a few hours, but if anybody could spare me the trouble and the wait, I'd be very thankful.

Doesn't look like you have a sysnand setup only emuand and stock os

That's my old ipl that has a lot of custom bits for overclocking the ram and blocking nintendo connection I want to make changes to this so it will work with my sys nand

I switched to a 1TB SD card and followed the guide on rentry. Everything seemed to be working as intended and exactly the same as on my old SD. So i queued up a few downloads in tinfoil and left it but when i came back it was sitting in hekate again, so i assumed it had crashed.
I tried launching the emummc a few times but it kept booting up my sysnand instead, with atmosphere active, so i checked the emummc window in hekate and it had somehow disabled itself. I only have 2 launch options, stock on my sysnand and atmosphere with my emummc, so it should never have launched my sysnand with atmosphere active.

It's been working since i activated it again a few days ago but i still have a few questions.

1. I was using a theme when it launched my atmosphere on my sysnand, could i get banned from that? I've heard it's even possible to get banned using custom profile pictures.

2. Is it possible to change my hekate ini to only launch my atmosphere with emummc, so if my emummc ever gets disabled again and i try launching it, it doesn't launch my sysnand with atmosphere active, like it did.

3. Why did my emummc disable itself? I'd rather fix whatever happened before my 1tb card is almost full and I'm forced to start over.

1. Yes, you can get banned from any usage of CFW and/or homebrew
2. Well, you can set autoboot so whenever you launch Hekate, it will automatically boot one of your launch entries rather than having you go through the Hekate menu
3. It was probably the homebrew app you were using. That one has been notorious for giving users issues whether its spreading hate speech to maliciously deleting files, its considered to be one of the worst apps. I highly recommend switching to TinWoo Installer. Its what I personally use and I never have any issues while using it.

My money is that it won't work. The Nintendo folder is very sensitive to any changes. Just altering the Archive bit is enough to throw things for a loop.

Wait archive update or find working cheats for your version of game manually. Get Title ID and Build ID from Tesla Overlay
and paste cheats to txt. Cheats txt located sd:/atmosphere/contents/<title_id>/cheats/<build_id>.txt. Also you may try change just Build ID of txt. There were cases that it worked. Name of a game and version ?

The sdcard is the weakest link of the Switch. Swapping them in and out will eventually break the reader. Readers are cheap so no big deal but it's a pain if you can avoid it.
