I think I am confusing myself a bit. Let me see if I can get this straight.

-OFW is baked into system, and doesn't have anything to do with the microSD
-I installed CFW on my new microSD and created an emuNAND from the stock sysNAND image
-When I bootload hekate and choose emuMMC it boots from my microSD into Atmosphere
-When i choose sysNAND from hekate it will boot into the switch's OFW from the system itself
-If I want to have another microSD on CFW with more storage with emuNAND the best thing would be to create another copy of sysNAND like I did when I originally hacked my switch.
-For OFW I should use my original microSD which has my legitimate game downloads and content from before I hacked.
Almost everything is correct here. If you switch to a larger SD card, you can transfer the contents of the data partition of the old SD card to the new one, and that will include your legitimate game-downloads for your sysNAND. It is also possible to backup the emuNAND partition of the old SD card and transfer it to the emuNAND partition of the new SD card.

Hi guys, I'm new with all these and trying to understand if my problem is a FW compatibility or just me.

I recently purchased a R4S Dongle and installed everything like the website says, but it's not working. I'm wondering if it's due to the FW version of my switch 9.1.0 and the Dongle UF2 file seems to be compatible with the 8.1.0 only (It says like that on the website) , or maybe I'm just missing something.

Somebody uses the R4S Dongle with FW 9.1.0? Thanks a lot.
You can use the R4S Dongle to chainload RCM payloads that are on the SD card, so there will never be incompatibility issues, even if the R4S Dongle is never updated.

I'm having issues with my (soft)bricked switch. When I first got it I made a rawnand backup, thinking this would be enough, not knowing I needed the boot partitions as well. This was on some early 6 fw, I'm guessing either 6.0.1 or 6.1.0. Now I updated my switch to 9.1.0 and wanting to go back I restored my backup and it obviously won't boot anymore.

I tried following the manual choi upgrade from the homebrew.guide website, but I'm having issues getting my BIS keys to work. Every time I enter them in HacDiskMount I get a red entropy fail error. I've gotten my keys from biskeydump.bin and the sdsetup website using hekate dumps and they both give me the same keys.
I've tried going down to 6.1.0 or even 5.1.0.

Is there anything else I can try to get it to boot? I don't care about what firmware I'll end up on or whether I save any data, I just want it to work.

Is it unusual for an nsp to be corrupt or faulty? Dq 11 crashes randomly. Been using cfw for months and other nsp never had any issue.

Or do i need to update sigpatches?

I'd tried a different dump, if possible. Have had a lot of corrupt nsps, and finding a different source usually fixes the issues.

Hoping someone can help me out. I have an unpatched switch but when I try and boot into RCM to launch CFW all I get is a black screen when trying to inject the payload. I don't think the switch is bricked because I can still boot up normally.

Any thoughts?

1) You're sure it's unpatched?
2) Which payload gives a blackscreen?
3) Do other payloads work?

Hi. someone hacked my switch for me. I'm using reinx 6.20 and I have tinfoil 0.0.1 as well as ftpd. is there anyway I can install witcher 3 without updating cfw and taking sd card out because I don't have a jig and am afraid to use one for fear of bricking my switch.

But you don't need jig to update CFW, FW and anything else if you have autoRCM turned on...

but can I install and run witcher 3 without updating anything?
how can I check if autorcm is on?
really don't wanna tinker too much

plus, I have no idea how to go from reinx to atmosphere or kosmos

If you don't need jig to run CFW and you don't use pegascape, then for sure you have autorcm on.
This guy who hacked your switch should explain some stuff for you.

Guys, my cfw switch has been banned from network, this is not a problem to me cause I have a second switch to play online. But I was looking to know, how will I be able to update the ofw to play most recent games in the future?

When I use Lockpick_RCM payload (latest version) in Hekaate (latest version) to dump my keys, I only get prod.keys now for some reason, where as before I used to get title.keys, too. This was on Kosmos with Atmosphere 9.0.1 though, and now I am on Vanilla Atmosphere 9.1.0. For title.keys, it just says "Found 0 titlekeys". But for prod.keys it says "Found 151 keys." Does it only output Prod.keys now, or could something be wrong with my setup?

Do you have any legally purchased games installed?

Hey, so I followed a guide for windows to convert emunand file to hidden partition on sx os here on the site(can’t post link unfortunately).

But somehow I can’t get the last step to work where you copy the file back to the hidden partition. It always says: Error writing file: 5 access denied

Any help?

Hey, is there a guide explaining how to develop homebrew apps? What I need to know are some basics like... configuring the project, printing something on-screen (text, graphics) and utilizing syscalls with C/C++.
Since my current project is pretty much finished i'd like to get into Switch homebrew development and turn some of my ideas into reality
