I'm going to guess that my emuMMC is corrupted after a failed update attempt.

Transferring my backup from my pc to the sd card (through hekate usb tools) is failing though due to a file size too large error.

Is there a different way I should transfer my file based emuMMC to the sd card?

use Hekate UMS

I have two donor OLED boards which I have used to practice the kamikaze method, and got it perfect on the second attempt/board (the first went too far so was a good learning experience in itself).

Are there any other spots on the board where I might be able to practice grinding just so I can continue building the drilling/grinding experience without having to buy additional donor boards?

is there a way to sync my pro controller on both sysnand and emunand at the same time without risking to brick the switch ?

Subject: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe crashing on launch - "The software was closed because an error occurred"

Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on my hacked Nintendo Switch. The game shows the error message "The software was closed because an error occurred" immediately when trying to launch it.

Here's what I've already tried without success:
  • Reinstalling the game using DBI (clean installation)
  • Deleting old save data
  • Booting the console in recovery mode
  • Despite these efforts, the error persists.
My system information:
  • Console: Nintendo Switch OLED
  • Bootloader: Hekate v6.3.1
  • Firmware: 20.5.0
  • Atmosphere: 1.9.5
I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions on what to try next. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
I encountered the same issue, and after experimenting, I found that the order in which you install the game and updates using DBI does matter. Here's the step-by-step process I used to fix the issue:

  1. Delete everything related to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (unless you’ve backed up your save files).
If you want to keep your save data, make sure to back it up first!
  2. Reinstall the base game via DBI:
    • Install the base game first, but do not run it yet. Just ensure it's properly installed.
  3. Install the game update:
    • Once the base game is installed, install the latest update (DLCs can cause issues if installed before the update).
  4. Install the DLC:
    • After the update, install the DLC content (if applicable).
  5. Restore your save files:
    • With DBI, go to the “Installed Games” section.
    • Press R1 to see your saved game data, and then copy your save files into the appropriate folder.

After completing these steps, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe should launch without the error.

Atmosphere take care of that. On Atmosphère 1.5.1 A feature was added to optionally mirror the bluetooth pairing database to the SD card (thanks @ndeadly). This allows device pairings to be automatically kept in-sync across sysmmc/all emummcs.
This is opt-in, and can be controlled by setting: atmosphere!enable_external_bluetooth_db = u8!0x1.
When enabled, the pairing database will be synchronized to /atmosphere/bluetooth_devices.db.

You need modify the file "atmosphere/config/system_settings.ini"

Then on the section

[atmosphere]

Change the value
enable_external_bluetooth_db

For:
enable_external_bluetooth_db = u8!0x1

I accidentally clicked on a game asking to update, in my older emunand, and the console no longer boots into it.

Does anyone know how could I go about fixing it?

Mmmm, I'm new to switch modding and have what I believe is a fully sorted console; I did however, use HATS...is/was that a bad idea?

I'd appreciate any recommendations; are there privacy concerns or serving banning concerns with hats?

Are there settings I can adjust to improve overall performance?

depends on what is the error!!

Sorry guys, when open Edison SE the game thumbnails appear like this
2025102400163500-DB1426D1DFD034027CECDE9C2DD914B8.jpg

i don't understand the problem.

Asking here because I don't think it warrants a whole new thread- does anyone know if with current modding capabilities for the switch original, a proper gamecube emulator can be put onto it?
I know there was one that had to be ran via another payload, but it could only be played on handheld when I wanted to play the original kirby air ride with my friend.

I'm still wondering why many cheats with buttons to trigger not work well on emulator like ryujinx? I know they was made from real switch, but it must be some thing differ from how things work and stuck with emulator.

Hardware V1 can be modded using RCM exploit via USB injection of a Payload.
All other hardware revisions need a Chipmod.

hello all. I am using eden emulator. i found some codes in thread 'Cheat Codes AMS and Sx Os, Add and Request'

do these codes work in eden emulator? how? any step by step guide?

if not can anyone teach me how to hack a game? using cheat engine i can change money or other currency easily. i understand the concept look for money, change money amount up or down, notice different value in cheat engine, edit value to 99999999. i understand that that is basic and any one can do.

the cheat i am looking for and looking to maybe do myself is get value (say exp points gained from dead enemy after battle) and then make a code that lets me multiply that value whatever it is by a set amount (10, 20, 100, etc) making leveling up much faster.

like where do i even start with that using cheat engine? or a youtube video that explains how to do that maybe? thank you.

Yeah that's what i was worried about. Ah well, i'll stick to the pc revamp of city trial i found once awhile back
You could install android and run dolphin or a fork of dolphin through the switch. Takes a bit of tweaking but it might run ok.

Not sure where to look, but still havvng issues with Switch. Had to update Atmosphere and Hekate, so the upgraded firmware and got the sigpatches here. But the problem, is some of the titles which previously worked don't now, while others do. Not sure how to fix the problem or where to look if I'm missing some updates files.
