I wanted to update the firmware and cfw on my hacked switch to 18 (currently on 17.0.1 - I think. That's what it said in the settings). However, I updated atmosphere, hekate, and the sigpatches to their current versions, but I haven't updated the firmware yet.
I can still boot up and run games, but every time I click on the blue icon to get into homebrew apps, my switch crashes. I will take a screenshot of the error message in just a moment. Until then, does anyone know a way that I can successfully enter into the homebrew apps? I can't get to Daybreak like this.

So, I found a solution: for some reason, I had deleted hbrmenu.nro from the root directory of my SD card. I put it back and everything is now working fine. Haha... Whoops.

That's strange. Updating Atmosphere should have updated hbmenu.nro at the same time. I guess you mishandled extracting your zip file, somehow. Good for you that you found the mistake. Now go and sin no more.
Hello everyone, I need your precious help.
My V2 console is unlocked with a picofly chip, unfortunately my SD card died and I don't have any backup copy.
Can you help me how to start with a new card?
Thank you very much

Never too late to learn, my friend. Read the guide and apply what's related to you. Most important thing is to make a nand backup and save it on your computer in a safe place. After that, don't be too worried of making mistakes, they can always be corrected.
Okay, first, it's atmosphere 1.7.1, and firmware 18.1.0 (you can check in your Switch settings). As far as I know, the firmware has an internal list of available updates for your games. So when you tried to launch Zelda totk, it knew you were not using the latest update available and it just gave you a notice about it. You can usually still launch the game.
Hi, I recently homebrewed my Switch. I backed up the "Nintendo" folder from my sd card (the only thing on the card) and it took ages as it was 390GB.
I figured once it was hacked I would just copy that folder back onto the sd and I would have access to my games. Well, after many more hours of waiting on transfers my card is showing it has 390GB of data on top of the homebrew stuff, it seems that all is well. I put the card back in my Switch and it shows the game with the little icon to show they need to be downloaded and the card is showing that it only has the homebrew data and now my videos/screen shots.
Is there a way to get the games I legitimately bought back on my Switch from my sd back up without having to redownload them from a free shop or w/e?
If no, what was the point in me backing up my card?
Hi there, I'm in need of a bit of troubleshooting. Updated to latest atmosphere, firmware and sigpatches including the sys-patch modules.
I'm experiencing massive slowdowns on boot (it hangs on the switch logo for very long) and overall whatever I open, homebrew menu included, takes forever to load. Installing software with NUT takes forever (1 to 3 mbp/s transfer speed) it happened just after this update, was previously sitting on a atmosphere 1.6.2 and 17.0.1 fw build
Tried to disable the syspatches because I know that sys modules can add onto loading times, but at this point I'm wondering if super coincidentially the sd half-died during the cfw update process, which seemed to be going smooth by the way.

You have to perform the exploit every time you turn off the console. There is no way to "install" the hack aside from soldering a modchip inside the console.
I just updated the sysnand on my 1st gen switch from 3.0.0 to whatever nintendo decided to give me.
When it restarted after the update, I used the jig to restart into RCM and injected hekate, then when I try to launch into Stock - Sysnand I get this error.
Any ideas?
funny enough when I 'press any key' I'm brought back to the hekate menu where I can launch into CFW - Emmunand just fine, but always get this error when I try Stock - Sysnand.

Updated Hekate and sigpatches, I'm making sure I'm injecting the same hekate payload to match the updated hekate.
now whenever I try to launch Stock - Sysnand I get this error instead. CFW - emmunand still ok.

Update: fixed my issue by also updating atmosphere.
Because I didn't think I was using atmosphere when launching into Stock - sysnand, I did not bother to update it.
Apparently some updates require both Hekate and Atmosphere to be update.
boys i was trying to boot my switch by fusee after update emu to lastest firm to check something but turns out i cant or i dont remember how i have v1 and all i can see after trying to boot by fusee is just 1 sec atmo logo then black screen i mean not even backlight is on any ideas ? ^^
I got my two switches loaded with Hekate, but one will only boot into EMUMMC (CFW). It will not boot into SYSMMC (CFW). For the switch to boot into the EmuMMC, I have to keep restarting because it gives me the same error as SYSMMC 2168-0001 (0x2a8) more often than not. For the other switch (OS 12.1), but emummc and sysmmc boot up, but when I go to the reboot option, the OFW is grayed out. Should I update the switch to 18.1? I used the HATs pack to set up both.

Do not use HATS. Its been notorious to cause issues since its a pre-configured pack. Download the unmodified version of Atmosphere from the official GitHub page and use that instead. You will also need an unmodified version of Hekate which you can find here.
