All of those methods have led to people still being banned. There is Haku33 but not only has someone been banned for using it but it can cause a soft brick if you're firmware is 17.X. Plus, if you've ever gone online before using it, it will cause a mismatch with the data Nintendo has from the last time you were online so its not a good idea to use it. Your best bet might still just be a factory reset but don't expect it to prevent a ban since it is an official feature; there is no way Nintendo themselves would implement an anti-ban measure in their own device.

That's a bit tricky as unfortunately, there is no title installer currently being actively maintained. I've always used TinWoo Installer and its never ever given me any issues.
Thanks - For some reason I copied over the what I thought were the saved downloaded game files from my old SXOS micro sd cards but Tinwoo is not seeing any games to install. I had the setting on SXOS set to save the game files after install on SXOS. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Hello everyone! I have a problem with launching splatoon 3.
I have cfw 725
OFW :17.0.1
I have deleted all the save files of the game, reinstalled it 3-5 times.
Before the problem,i have used a mod menu called "FlexLion",and now i have deleted every file that had the same name with the folder.
I will be glad if someone helps!

See if the mods what causing your problem.

i tried updating my switch sysmmc through daybreak to 17.0.0 (during the update i disabled dns mitm for whatever reason) and was met with the switch setup and now it will refuse to accept my sd card, saying it is for another console.
It has a partition based emuMMC which still works perfectly and i have a full system backup, though i dont want to have to revert all my progress (since it's from before i installed the greater majority of my tweaks)
is there anything i can do besides doing a full system restore?
(btw, i'm able to access hbmenu title override through a game card in sysmmc if that helps)

Hello,

I have some experience with V1 CFW Switch, but tomorrow I will buy a used modded OLED Switch.

I have some questions:

- Is there anything I should check out before buying the console, like known issues, etc.?
- The seller does not know what chip is installed. How can I find out which chip I have, and is it necessary to know?
- I'd like to factory reset the console and start from the beginning (setting up a clean sysn and emunand). Is there a guide on how to do that with a modded OLED? I assume it's different than recovery mode/jig, etc.

Thanks!

Hi, this is my question to you all

Is it possible to edit save file with patched switch or is gonna happen and do I need a RCM jig to edit save file if possible?

If yes or no, thank you.
You need to be able to hack your Switch to edit save files and if your console is patched, an RCM jig will not help. The only way to hack a patched Switch is with a modchip.

thank you and will there be an exploit for the patched switch coming soon or not?

Probably not anytime soon. Modchip is currently the best you can get CFW on patched consoles.
In order to play game backups, you'll either need a MIG Switch flashcart or wait for its future clones,

Hello,

I bought the OLED today and I found out it has an INSTINCT-NX Chip inside. I want to factory reset it and set it up as new (with emunand setup and proper backups).

Is there a guide I can follow to do this? I'm familiar with V1 CFW but not modchip, and I want to be extra careful.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

hey guys
I bought a Nintendo Switch Oled for my son from a pawn shop in the USA.

It came with firmware 16, and I plan to insert a modchip into it when I return to my country.

However, I would like to buy a game from the Nintendo Shop and download some demos, but when I go online, it asks to update to the latest firmware version, 17.*.

Can I do this without having problems in the future putting the modchip in the Switch Oled? Will it work on the latest firmware version?

Yes you can update it to the newest firmware, then later install a modchip with no problem of firmware. It's actually better to be on the newest firmware.

I recent;y bought a premodded Switch OLED, but unfortunately it came with games pre-installed. I reset the system and created a new account to go on the eshop to see if it was banned or not. Seems it is not, which is weird as I thought pirating games is a ban.
I googled and all I found thta having pirated games installed = instaban. Now I am wondering if that is always true or am I still likely to be caught in a wave later on? ( Maybe the instaban goes for going online while having them installed at the time and not after resetting/removing them?)

(I forgot to add, there was no clean nand backup provided with the system, so could not restore it to clean beforehand)

When booting up Checkpoint i get a atmosphere crash

Error Code: 2162-0002 (0x4a2) Program: 0100000000000012

Firmware: 17.0.1
Model: OLED with Instinct modchip

Its a fresh Emunand and no custom theme has been applied

What is the cause of this crash?

Thanks. I suppose I am under 0.20 so have to follow that method, right? Is it no problem that I have this neutos?
So, finally I started the process with the above mentioned method. First updated atmosphere but know I can boot up but all in one updater causes a fatal crash. After that the only way is turning off and injecting payload from Mobile. Can someone help?

I am so damn confused with JKSV there are like a hundred options and I don't understand any of them. I replaced my Emunand (partition) and people said to backup my saves with JKSV, which I did, one by one. They are on my Switch SD in the /JKSV folder. I can't find ANY obvious option to restore them. I tried to research this, read the Github directions, watched a video, and I am still MASSIVELY confused. Under my profile icon in JKSV I hover over the game and I don't see a "Restore" command listed. I understand that I have to generate a save file in the game before restoring it. I did so for Hollow Knight. How do I restore my save?

EDIT: Looks like the JKSV option to set a backup folder (which anyone will obviously click in trying to restore their saves) just went ahead and on its own overwrote all my saves without me asking it to do so, and apparently I don't have another backup. I don't want to replay all these games all over again from the start, so I guess I can never play any of them again. THANK YOU JKSV

Which microSD card are you using? Are you sure it's legit one (tried testing it with h2testw)? FAT32 formatted?
Is there a folder named 0100000000000012 under atmosphere/contents? If so, make a backup of it and see if the error shows up again after removing it.

The folder did not exist. However i had zero games on the switch at that point, after installing a game it actually booted up just fine. So my assumption is that it crashed due to no save file being available.

is there some issue with the ip blocklist on the very latest firmware? i keep running into reddit threads saying stuff like news posts seem to come through on emummc even with exosphere being set up
i dont really think it should be much of an issue either way, with prodinfo being blanked out on emummc, but it still feels weird
