I recently started having problems with my Switch reading the SD card. Everything was fine but then the system kept telling me the card was removed when it wasn't. I ordered a replacement SD card reader from Amazon. (5 star rating $9.95) The problem is now it still won't read any micro SD card. I even put the old sd reader back in and nothing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures of the back side of the sd card connector and the connector on the motherboard would help.

I can try to take better pics tomorrow if those aren't good enough. It's hard to take pics of that stuff because it's so tiny

Guess I'll have to buy a new switch. Thanks for the help

If your phone screen is cracked, doesn't mean you need to buy another one.

I assume you live in the US?

If so, I suggest you message anyone who provides Trinket services in the US to run the jumper wires for you, this is not a difficult fix It looks like you will need to run two Jumper wires. There's the diagram, just message any US based person here or take it to a shop. Anyway good luck.

I've never done soldering before so I'd rather not do it myself. Is there a step by step guide somewhere? What kind of wire do I need? From the diagram you've sent me this looks complicated lol

This isn't for someone that hasn't attempted soldering before. Send it to a shop. You only need to connect the orange and pink test pad points (top 2) to the micro sd connector to fix your problem. Any shop can do this or alternatively, someone here in the US.

I'm going to take it with someone who has experience with soldering electronics. So, I only need 2 jumper wires? After those are put on do I put the sd card slot on like normal? Thanks again
